I saw an old interview on I think youtube with a driving instructor who used a Minor a normal one and not a Traveler in the 80/90s could it have been him? Remember that in the interview he was also filmed while carrying out welding repairs on it in his driveway.
It's been a few years since I watched this so I don't remember everything and unfortunately can't find it again.
It's possible, I can only remember him having having Travellers, was a while ago though and my memory isn't the best!

Funny enough I was just going to post about a Minor that I used to seeing being used as a driving school car in the late 80s-early 90s in Brentwood. Has to be the same guy
Has to be, Brentwood is the nearest test centre to Billericay so a lot of the lessons took place there, certainly mine did although my instructor in 1988 had an E reg square shape Sunny

The Billericay School of Motoring in my home town always ran a white Morris Minor Traveller. More about the man and his cars here, which is where I pinched the photo from. I can't remember the dates but the Traveller always stood out as being much older than the typical driving school cars.

I log the mileage when I fill up, start of the year was 166032 and on 174730 now, so 8698 miles (the 'fleet' = Nissan Note)
Mileage much reduced since Covid as I only have to do the 40 mile round trip to work once a week now, used to be more like 16-17k a year.

Can I have a cryptic guess as to the previous owner (hopefully without spoiling it) by asking - Will you let fat people drive the car?
I wouldn't have guessed who it was without that clue, but checked the name it brought to mind and the driver did indeed score just one point in his F1 career.

Thank you for your kind words all. ❤️
So sorry to hear this Dave, terribly sad news and really does put all our other minor grumps into perspective.

1965 Ford Zephyr 4 Mk3 £850 on Facebook, in Carmarthen, doesn't look bad for that price.
Been standing for several years, its had a lot of work done by different people, due to the standing will need more work. It has a recorded cat C at some point. Passenger front wing fibre glass. Car will need front to rear check and or repair plus full respray. Interior fair some reassembly and 1 door card needed. Engine turns freely.

Looks familiar... wasn't this on ebay a while ago?

I posted it up a few months back but can't remember where it was for sale, could well have been eBay, looks quite different now but there surely can't be two of these with N241*** registrations and almost identical mileages so maybe it's just had TLC and a polish in the meantime.
