  1. The BMC/Leyland EA had a snout with the engine on its side under the floor, right underneath the seats.
  2. What a thread!! How I missed this first time around is beyond me. This has now moved the explosive-cabbage Peugeot 306 collection thread into 2nd place for me.
  3. Have we had the fact that the Rover SD1 had a passenger heater vent where the steering column would go in LHD models? The instrument binnacle was a separate assembly from the rest of the dash too so it could be the same for both RHD and LHD models. Not really penny pinching as that was the point of the car, but the MK1 Dacia Duster was based on a MK2 Renault Clio. I owned both at the time and all of the major controls and switchgear were identical. OK, but the MK2 Clio was released in 1997 and the Duster was 2017. By far and away the most grim car I ever owned. The silver paint was flaking off the steel wheels at 2 years old.
  4. Good shout on the rogue rear lights on the Capri. The original MB Capri was an prefacelift one with the Allegro headlights and small rear tail lights. It's still a really nice model. I haven't opened it yet but I think I will now!
  5. I sure hope so! I'm going to post it on Monday special delivery, it should be turned around and back to me by Thursday hopefully. He wants the cash in the box, he's clearly not* doing this under the radar 😂
  6. What could be happening here 🤔
  7. Excellent acquisition. We need more Cavaliers on here. People who have Luton registered Cavaliers dropped off at their door are the Best People.
  8. That's come up really well. I'd recommend getting some lacquer on the bits you painted, leave it a week and then you would be more than welcome to bring it round to my bit and we can get the machine polisher on it to cut it back.
  9. Come again? I thought he didn't want it. Fuck knows how you've extracted any malice from that man.
  10. Said nobody: The entire Rover range 2001 to 2005. Everything from the deletion of the badge on the key fob, removal of plastic caps from the lower seat belt bolts, to the substitution of wood with plastic on the dashboard.
  11. Thankfully someone came for that at the 11th hour. There's nothing bulky in there, just a big load of dross!
  12. We've been in our current house for 11 years and are now clearing the place out. Unbelievable that this is all my wife, son and I's hoarded crap from over that time. It's mainly stuff we have tried to sell then give away but to no avail. Very therapeutic!
  13. We are clearing out our house and I found this laminated dealership poster for an Astra MK3 Cabriolet. It's about 1.5m by 1m and was given to me by the garage I bought my old Corsa from many, many years ago. Free to collect from Bonnybridge. If there's no takers it's going in the skip on our drive, but I'd rather see it find a home. Collection from Bonnybridge, Central Scotland.
  14. Got my Montego model today. As pointed out it's a bit of a rogue as it's definitely a post 1989 Rover spec car but has 1987-89 Austin Rover badges. Very nice all the same.and I'm delighted to finally have one. I resorted to making ine out of plasticard in the 1990s because nothing else was available!
  15. Unless they are mullered they should fetch about a fiver each on ebay!
  16. The Micro Machines are worth more than any of the other items!
  17. Those Majorette Mondeos are ace, have you tried the steering yet?
  18. ^^ Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *critical fapping*
  19. Fingers crossed the short engine will be the same and you can just fire all the ancillaries in!
  20. An interesting purchase, glad you got on with it. I always thought that my Saab 93 had the same engine as the 2.0 turbo versions of these but it turns out its the other way around. A Vauxhall with a Saab engine from the factory! They can be Noobtuned as a result. That could be a laugh!
  21. Shame the Audi is being a bugger, emissions can be a right old head scratcher. Progress on 3 out of 4 categories being OK though!
