  1. "I'm actually gutted to be getting rid of the car but jue to having just been nailed for driving without a full valid drivers licence I need to sell to fund a season ticket for the bus".
  2. That is indeed the vortex type one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301091855691?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=iO6NHN2GTmG&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=ZRO7rX7WRjq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I'm going to get one for the next again service I carry out.
  3. Got a Montego for £24.95 posted. Now to dig out my 1989 Rover Car range brochure and immerse myself in 'Crayons' fabric or 'Jacquard' cloth.
  4. This came up on my news feed from 2011 when I was binning some old broken toy cars. I had this as a kid in the 1980s.
  5. That MR2 is sweet man. My mate had a lovely metallic blue one about 15 years ago and he fitted a Beams engine to it. K822AUD. Went like the hammers of fuck. I'd forego my 'must be a 4 seater and have a big boot' to own one but they're too dear now.
  6. I must have one as I've been waiting for a model of one of these since they were current. Do you have a link at all?
  7. My local Tesco has restocked MB and Hotwheels, picked up the Ford C900 truck last night.
  8. If there's no takers on here I'm going to try Recap in Cumbernauld. It's madness.
  9. I said that to my son when bunny hopping off an 8ft ramp at the skatepark with predictable results.....
  10. Mair Marketplace fannies. I posted up on Friday that I had been offering a single bed and mattress for free on Marketplace. SUZANNA promised to come at 6 to collect. After dismantling the bed and howfing it down my awkward stair for her, I was royally patched. So my wife thought she'd have a go at offering it on Marketplace for free instead. GEMMA said she'd be delighted to have it as she found herself in temporary housing and it would be for her 8 year old child. My wife also offered to throw in some very nice cushions for her. She thought she was doing someone a good turn. GEMMA said her brother would come for it in his Jeep at 7. Half past came and went and no further messages were read by her or responded to. Patched and that was the second time today as well but I can't be arsed telling that story. We've got a skip coming next week and we are having a massive clear out. Since it seems to be impossible for me to try and help these people without them taking the cunt, I'm planning on being fucking ruthless with stuff I don't want. What's wrong with people?
  11. You could offer to sit behind him pillion 👀
  12. It's a reflection in the window, my fence is black.
  13. I absolutely didn't* send the owner of an MGF and a Saab 900 your way, hopefully they'll be a skoosh compared to this! Anyway, it's great to see it back home, I remember it sitting rusty and broken on that street, wondering if that was the end.
  14. I echo keeping a service record, that's something I do for all my cars.
  15. Excellent to see it set free again, well worth saving these nowadays in my opinion.
  16. My 75 has been suffering from a very erratic oil level on the dipstick. The advert for the car, which I bought 2 years ago this month said that it had an upgraded BMW vortex PCV filter fitted. This deletes the foam part of the filter and is virtually maintenance free and mitigates the risk of a blocked PCV, oil spouting out the dipstick and in the worst case, a runaway. As such I had ruled that out and hoped that the high pressure diesel pump wasn't leaking at the shaft seal and letting fuel past the timing case and into the sump. Not the end of the world but a job beyone my capability and gumption to replace it (I have a spare CP1 that I'm going to rebuild with a new seal kit just in case), so that would get contracted out. However, I thought maybe the BMW filter might need a clean out anyway so I took it out: One not-upgraded-very-standard PCV foam filter, absolutely choked solid. Sorry, car! No harm done thankfully and new one on order. The air filter was also needing changed so I did that while I was in there as I had one on the shelf. Now that I'm happy I have found the issue I can change the oil next week knowing its not getting diluted with diesel.
  17. Unless it's stupidly cheap and for a laugh, once you start counting on a regular basis how much old shitters costs you, the fun stops in my opinion. Thankfully, my OH is the same for her things so we get on fine there!
  18. Eeeh.... where have you been for the last 6 months man 😅
  19. Pass for the Saab. The wheelbearing is annoying me though, going to get that sorted at a later date.
  20. Dropped the red forum bike Saab 93 off for its MOT. I know it needs a few bits, hopefully it will all be more or less an expected outcome.
  21. I have owned 3 Convertibles and still own them and they account for 75% of my fleet. I wouldn't call them shite though. 2 seaters are of no use to me as I have a family, as are models with a tiny boot. I won this in a roffle in February 2019 frkm @320touring. It went straight through its MOT needing only a wheelbearing and since then all its needed is a second hand damper, timing belt, exhaust, thermostat and a few braking components. I recall the first time I cracked the roof open on the drive and saw the actual sky whilst sitting in a car. I've never looked back! 1.8 N/A so it isn't fast but it's a brilliant cruiser and the dated-when-new design means it looks really retro now. Only about 0.1% of the population know or care what it is though. Saab 93 Turbo auto. Forum bike, bought from @SRi05 in December also owned by @Wack and saved from scrap a few years ago by @NorthernMonkey , drives perfectly, lovely nick and has plenty of room. Auto roof works great, even if it sounds like a cow taking a dump whilst operating. Quicker than its 150bhp has any right to be. Rewired the driver seat and replaced the thermostat. Repair costs so far therefore £30 for 6 months. Brilliant! MoT. today though.... Same again from @Jazoli except manual and remapped to 210bhp by Noobtune. Oh and a gorgeous colour. Bought for my wife, she loves it. Plenty big enough for us. My auto feels faster but then I've only really driven it up from the Lakes, haven't been able to get a shot since!
  22. Not sure man, I don't know much about these. My wife drove past it on her way back to work after lunch and said it was full of holes along the bottom. Hopefully it's being saved, nobody on the Scotland Rover Facebook page has owned up to it yet though.
  23. "Don't fucking blow it up" "It's fine!". Glad to see this thing living again.
  24. I may do later if it hasn't moved. The tow car is nice too, an old LandCruiser. "Listen mate, sorry, I'm afraid I'd been drinking heavily when I bid on it".
