This chat inspired me to look at the analytics on my own channel.
I discovered there was a big spike in viewing one day.

Something happened on the 19th of November.

It turned out that one of my videos, that I had uploaded in 2009, caught a mild bit of viralness.

It's a pity those sort of one day figures have never happened to any of my other videos. I might have a few more than 1,000 subs and still be getting revenue from ads.
I used to get revenue until YouTube changed the requirements to 1,000 subs and what ever the amount of hours viewing. When it changed I kind of lost interest in building up views and uploading stuff. Before the change I was uploading stuff every week from events that I went to, but then the enthusiasm dwindled and I rarely post stuff now. In the early days you could upload crap and people would watch, but as the content has gotten better in production and I have not got a face for TV or a voice for radio, I can not compete with the stuff that's posted these days.
The last videos that I uploaded have had the following views.

When you compare those with almost identical videos that were uploaded in 2016, the amount of views for low budget action footage has tailed off quite a bit. It used to be worth the effort, but when 4 videos can only just scrap past the total views that the worst of a batch used to get, then spending a day filming and another day editing it's just soul destroying.

I watched that spitfire video 😂 And the others he does, love that channel!
My own YouTube channel with my hoovers and 10.5k subs barely brings in £350 a month in ad revenue on average. It's a nice hobby but I make far more repairing the subjects of the video and selling them/being paid to restore them. But it's a VERY niche subject, there's maybe 20 videos that mostly make me that income out of the thousands I have

Got this off Hayden the boot sale lad, I think it was once part of a garage or set? I knew there were Corgi and Crescent ones but not Matchbox

Kinda thinning out my commercial vehicles but this Dodge caught my eye

Always buying pink Crapis then selling them to you lot later!

Was a morning or unusual colour Matchbox. Twin pack AMX is definitely a good score

No boat or trailer to go with it though

Had to buy one of those annoying bags of cars to get this purple window Countach - I've got yellow and green glass versions already

928 is just a nice thing. Probably already got one

    Same goes for this

Don't recall finding a white Trans Am before though

SEC is one of the less-seen later cars I find

Now this really is weird. A version of the ex-Kenner Mustang GT I had no idea existed. Got to do some research on this one

Why do I buy My First Matchbox? I'm really not sure

Hot Wheels donor car, unless it's worth a billion pounds on eBay

    Majorette 260Z

Finally, I can't think of many 1:64 recreations of Ford's oddball EXP, but Zee Toys had a go

I have, I drove all the way to the wrong side of Southend to pick up a tatty one off Facebook, last year I think. 50p for a really nice one made my day - twin pack only colour
Just taking pics of today's finds

    Boot sale bits

All the carded ones were a pre-arranged pick up from the young lad who buys and sells, he got the rest of the Matchbox I had to get them out of my way

Think I pinched then off either an F1 car or a dragster. Certainly haven't ever found any others, more's the pity!
It's not especially easy trying to put proper windows and interior in these style castings, thankfully there were only ever the Mini Ha Ha and Flying Bug
