Here's a couple of shots of Borward engines. The first is a race tuned one with the side cover off of the rocker cover. You can see the small manifold going into the combustion chambers. The next two are from a 6 cylinder engine from a Borgward Pullman Limousine Here you can see the inlet manifold that is mounted under the rocker cover. This shows the the vertical inlet ports next to the valves.
