  1. It is now at the top of the local hill, resting on the smaller snowball ready to wreak havoc upon the Halfords below who refused to swap his 1day out of warranty battery...... He just needs his specially trained labrador to remember the right olace to cock a leg..... He's off to establish his Costa Coffee alibi Today Halfords - tomorrow the world......
  2. Need parts, willing to pay..... But can't collect Saturdays as they are NEVER open. To restore your classic car you either have to be unemployed or retired ffs. The postage charge is a f*cling rip off too - I work for RMG and the package is never 60+quid you thieving wankers. Looks like I'll be getting an extra reaming for the Yuletide if I want to make progress on the project then Insert chain of expletives here......
  3. Great purchase...... I got mine as a 'gotta own for a bit' purchase and it's still sat outside 8yrs later. Just lovely things. Only issue apart from standard service and consumables was a snapped shock after hitting the mother of all potholes in Belgium...... Enjoy....... They are just fantastic.
  4. In for this again...... Appreciate the effort organising.
  5. Dude - got my son over this week visiting but from 30th....if you need an extra pair of hands I'm only 20mins away. Just holler
  6. My Forester did the same thing with the cross block under the inlet manifold coolant pipe too...... I took a couple of looks at it and bought 1m of coolant hosing - flipped the outlet in the header tank and slipped it through another route to the water pump. Wasn't sure I'd get away with it but 5 EU journerys and months later still all good so I'm not touching the sod. Great work on the MG. I've always shied from them due to the coolant/HGF horror stories tbf. Bottled it every time. A rotten old 'proper' mini though..... NOW you're talking 😁 Will you persevere with an original engine or go for a swap/upgrade?
  7. I papped this years back as the old guy who built it lived on my street in Brussels. He's knocking on 80 now and still working odd days at the Citroen garage..... I managed to have a go around the block in it.
  8. While I was sorting the garage a bit.... The GF piped up she'd found something to sort the kitchen - as someone had previously stained the whole worktops..... REALLY REALLY BADLY. I came up for a cuppa to this horror show. So got the big guns out..... And promptly broke the belt sander FUCK IT! To top it all - she's off in the morning to UK for family. I'm still fuming..... That's my few days welding the P6 without interruption totally bolloxed.
  9. Great work fella..... Looks a fantastic job so far. - he'll be chuffed for sure. I've been tidying the garage here in Belgium amd found an ally lowering block for the rear with extended bolts if you're interested. Never used..... Brand new. Yours if you PM me your address and I'll send it once I'm back in UK next week.
  10. THIS.... I'm half way through today. Found a load of Spitfire spares, underseal and zinc primers up the wazoo and junked some utter crap I'd thought would come in handy. Seems I have poly bush kits for the Lada 2101 amd ignition bits so I'll try amd get that running over the next 2 days I think - P6 welding not withstanding One downer was my Aprilia decided to fuck it's throttle handle - plastic fatigue.... New one ordered.
  11. Dude..... If you ever look at sorting that place and need an extra pair of hands we can go at it over a weekemd to get some semblence of order*
  12. No worries...... If you're wanting to use this option just drop me a PM and it can be sorted.
  13. Rob - where in Germany are MotorMobil? Could they deliver in Germany without chopping it? I can grab it from the ex's mums place when we next visit and throw it in the back of the Scoobie...... If that's any option and you're not too pushed for time.
  14. A mate of mine rigged his up to a cement mixer - a few large bolts inside - and left it spinning for a couple of hours...... Internal blasting. Obviously flush thoroughly first!
  15. Work mess has me back in Europe over that week and a half.... I'm screwed. Sorry..... I've only just got back and the proverbial has hit the fan yet again. Anything I need to stump up I'll gladly cover of course. Really bummed as I need a break tbh
  16. That looks fantastic...... I didn't see it up on here or wed have had pistols at dawn good sir. LHM leak a relatively easy fix?
  17. That looks am epic bargain considering the lack of horrors so far. Top notch bargain hunting. My e46 330ci is the same combo of blue and tan leather...... Definitely a smart look overall. Will there be belt swaps and other servicing going on or not keen to go into that until tested first?
  18. Can you stop making me interact with the company Teams calls please? I know more now in the last week than I've taken on in 18mths - it's bloody depressing!
  19. I take it it is bonded in...... I ended up with welding gloves and a Stanley cutting inside edge as much as possible and then a screwdriver to get the chunks off. Still needed a clean up with a cup brush after that - but it was only residue..... Long laborious and exponentially annoying job.
  20. I thought you could start them in Neutral OR Park..... But its been many years sine I drove my old mans so feel free to ignore me - I could be confusing it with the XJR
  21. Great to see it hasn't caused any issues Eddy.... Some greaat spots along the way too. Enjoy Liege and the Ardennes. You'll probably be using the motorways but the smaller routes around there are just fantastic for both the drive and the scenery.... Liege is a bit hilly fella so some bits are a walking hell..... But Parc Boviere (iirc) is gorgeous. The old convent brewery, Cathedral, eglise St Jacques, Citadelle and the museums are pretty good too. Riverside is pretty, but the industrial part a proper mess too.... Keep on having a blast...... Enjoy! EDIT - IF COMING IN FROM AACHEN SIDE ON E40 - WATCH OUT FOR THE SPEED CAMERA HALFWAY DOWN THE HILL COMING TO THE LIEGE BRIDGE.... at night sometimes it's like being in a disco as it catches a lot out flying down the long descent.
  22. Are all of those bags already damaged or is there something causing the tears? Tears as in rips..... The other tears are understandable after all this palaver.
  23. OK - so as you enter the park from Merode..... The main arch is central... Left side - Autoworld.... Fantastic collection and ever changing displays with almost every Belgian club and collector donating/loaning vehicles on a rotation. Right side - War and Air Museum. Going over the civil war of Belgium and the World Wars.... A collection of tanks in the main courtyard. End main massive hall is filled with single seater aircraft, warbirds, special forces gear, arctic expedition stuff, helicopters and fighter jets etc.... A lot to take in. Both sides have working sections of their main areas that are regularly occupied with ongoing restoration projects. The volunteers at both do a cracking job aamd are extremely helpful amd friendly. Definitely worth a day and only 70m apart so not exactly a massive walk. Local clubs use the cobbled Central area for gatherings all the time so you can regularly just walk into a car show for no apparent reason. The shops, especially in Autoworld - can be wallet crippling.....
  24. That is a bit special..... Ooooooooof
  25. The beloved autoworld.... They have regular changes in special displays - usually anniversaries of a model or maker. Top quality motors in there and it's a partially working museum as they do a lot of maintenance and restoration around the back and sometimes in the display garage in the main hall..... Same with the air museum opposite - hope you had time to get in there too.... Cafe is fantastic and the resto work going on is a joy to behold. Pity I'm not there fella - next weekend - typically
