Don’t post things like that without pictures.

No more parking problems.

What a helmet!

That reminds me of that spitting image sketch of Maggie Thatcher having dinner with her cabinet. She orders steak and the waiter says “what about the vegetables?” ”Oh, they’ll have the same!”

Probably made his money hiring out Portaloos.

I lived in Kent then but nowhere near TW.

Don’t remember ever seeing a police cortina. Traffic cars went from Z cars , Rover 3500 P6 and SD1, onto Granadas , then Volvos , then BMWs. Local cars I remember as BMC 1100, Allegros, Mk2 Escort, Metros, Astras diesels later, now wide range of small hatch backs, lots of Peugeots.

Renault 12?

Cars you didn't know existed until very recently.

You’d think something with EVO sport GT in the name might be something exciting. -
Guilty. I thought it was 25 until recently, I’ll have to admit.

No tax. When are people going to get up to date with road tax when selling?
-
Possibly so you don’t have starting problems if parked on a slope. There’s enough petrol when signalling empty, to ensure the pick up pipe is covered and the pump won’t pump air (especially imp for diesels).
-
Because the designer isn’t the one who has a long walk if they run out.

The blue one looks like a Polo. Ned car would have sold well in Glasgow or perhaps just the most stolen. -
Catching up on the day’s sport on YouTube. First Chinese GP qualifying , Charles Leclerc prominent. Next thing I watch is Leicester v Northampton rugby. One of the first players mentioned was Charlie Clare. Well made me grin anyway.

Nearly 70 years old (design) and it still looks like something from the future.

BE 11 HUR Sadly no chariot or Charlton Heston but a speccy man in a Skoda SUV.

Probably a security thing. It’s so easy to fake documents etc especially when everything is done online. By making it so slow, the scammers don’t bother and try easier pickings like getting granny to tell them her bank details.

I bet the crims were shaking in their boots.
-
I “knew”that , just knew someone couldn’t resist , but it seems that’s wrong anyway.

Looks more like the Hindustan Ambassador.

We used to go to an Italian ice cream place further along for Knickerbocker glories. I saw a shark washed up by those fisherman’s huts. It was probably about 2-3 foot long but seemed huge as I was only about 7 at the time. There was a big crowd there , must have been the most excitement in Hastings since 1066.
