  1. Some do, think it's due to the same issue. Mine is alright (touch wood), but it's been a death sentence for quite a few owned by folk who couldny care less. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/369663-yet-another-fabia-immobilizer-thread-solution-included/
  2. Also, if it's an immobiliser issue, then it could be like what some Fabias have done, where the solder joints in the cluster just give up. Might jist need a wee reflow of the joints.
  3. No worries! I love the Mk1 and Mk2 Focii, so I'll let it slide. 😆
  4. Feck if I'd known it was a Ghia then I'd have been just as well leaving my debit card. 😂
  5. Awww, if I could have brought it back with me without having to face the wrath of my Mum (😆), then I'd have taken it on as the spare car. Gutted to have missed you too. Hope you get some use out of the cupholders though!
  6. Not been much going on in nearly a month. The car had been keeping in better condition than I was. However, this week has been very busy for both myself and the car, with the Fabia covering over 500 miles in a week, a stark change from my usual 190. Started with a lovely wee trip to Stirling and Callander on Monday with the mates, no issues there. Except that my car has developed a delightful* death wobble at 60-70mph. Either something stupidly simple or stupidly expensive, we shall see. ^ took this so I'd remember where I parked. Tuesday was a run to Girvan via everywhere, almost, with a uni pal who had come down from Cumbernauld to sample the "lovely" parts of Ayrshire. Wednesday was a day where I didn't have to drive, which although nice, isn't nice as a jumpy passenger. ...and that takes us up to today, which is Thursday, I think. Had been meaning to drop off a pair of vent-cup-holder-things to @big_al_granvia and @Flat4 since they're fairly local, but I went via Largs to meet a lassie as well, just to kill some time really. Was lovely meeting you, Al, and of course seeing your fleet was nice too. Only place I think I've ever went to in order to get rid of something to nearly leave with a Focus. I must say, it was tempting. 😂 Tomorrow? Hopefully fuck all, as I cannot be arsed, and petrol isny cheap. Might spend it looking to see if the car has shed some balance weights or something, causing the death wobble, or see what's causing the intermittent cutting out. Anyway, I think I'll go to my bed now, forking exhausted. 😂
  7. I probably should mention that from the point of sale I'm no longer responsible for what you do with the item when trying to fit it to the car. Hope you get it sorted though!
  8. Not bad, not too bad at all. Well, it could he absolutely hinging... 😂
  9. 42/43mpg ish on a trip to Stirling and other places. 20mpg around Ayr and in traffic, about 35mpg when I'm haring it along some b-roads. All in the Fabia. Duster seems to get something between 30-40mpg just doing my Mum's commute. Sandero is getting around 37mpg of a lot of mixed stop/start driving round the doors, about 5k miles a year.
  10. It's the same in Ayr. Cheap parking is getting closed (multi storey car park) and cheap/free parking is becoming dearer if you want to go into the high street. Couple that with the rates of buildings and rent since it's almost a monopoly of a small amount of landlords and you don't have to think long as to why it's basically a flipping ghost town besides vape shops, totally not-dodgy* mobile phone shops, and charity shops.
  11. Same over here. Couldn't even see the Ailsa Craig when I was down at Girvan! 😆
  12. My Granny had one in bright yellow, used to drive it like a psychopath. 😂
  13. Erm... aye... "fell off" the back of a lorry...
  14. Glad you like it and cheers for giving me space in the house! 😂
  15. Same as Matador then? https://www.matador-tyres.co.uk/car/the-brand £50 a corner, great in snow, but shite in the wet for some reason. 😆
  16. I've got that game too. Bought it in a charity shop still sealed for £4.
  17. It's also quite decent for getting writing off of old pre-recorded cassettes if you want to reuse them.
  18. I don't see a Signum all too often anymore, but I saw this one the other day. I'd say get it bought.
  19. Found this up in my Gran's loft... just need to buy a car to put it in.
  20. That is a lovely and well kitted out Corolla. Must say I'm envious.
