My biggest issue with ours isn't so much the trees. I like trees. I like really tall trees that I can hang antenna wires from 🤣
The problem is, the old boy behind me can't really manage his garden, so he just dumps all the detritus in one corner (which backs onto us). Sadly, that means lots of rats. We're very rural anyway so we have enough troubles (ticks, deer, foxes, badgers and more).

On the flip side, we got a wasp spider yesterday and we have a carpenter bee in the front garden to join our mason bee in the back garden.

I teach Amateur Radio and this is one of the old practicals we used to do. Bear in mind this is a practical electronics subject and this wasn't on the most basic course.
You would be absolutely shocked how many grown men (many retired) who have no idea on how to wire up a 3 pin plug.

Sadly, your son is not alone

So what we're saying is that a decent percentage of C6s are owned by members on this forum 😆

My sons other half has a V6 manual Mitsubishi FTO as a daily car and it has started gobbing it's coolant out when stuck in traffic and apparently there's little sign of the cooling fans kicking in. Alas being an import the fuse box lid is in squiggle writing and goggled results are iffy at best and no relay locations are available.

So thinking outside of the box I searched eBay for a FTO fuse box and found this lovely image.

It turned out the fans were actually fine and it was the rad cap with a broken spring that was obviously the real cause of the boiling up.
My son turned 33 the other day and asked me to wire a plug up for him,I have definitely failed as a parent.

Precisely my thoughts! When they first came about I wondered if they were literally redesigned to be chopped in half but alas it appears not.

Yeah this is an easy winner. They managed to keep the Mustang mostly decent and unique looking throughout its run (with the exception of the Sierra clone years).  Even the latest non-electric ones are a decent enough looking motor.
That Mach E needs put down and flung in the sea in a bag full of lead.

OK, I could fill this up with all kinds of nonsense.

Firstly, I'm absolutely with the Puma. Who on earth thought that would be a good idea taking a small 3 door sports car and turning it into yet another SUV.
And next up, I give you the Mustang. Unlike most, I've no bother with EVs. I drive a Renault EV as a company car and it's functional and very cheap to run. Generally dull, but bags of torque and does exactly what you tell it. Lots of toys and you can talk to it, so I don't have to fanny about with technology.
But who the fuck thought it was a good idea to turn this

    into this?

These two cars have about as much in common as Neil Kinnock and Maggie Thatcher. In that they were both politicians, these are both fast. That's where the comparison ends.

And whilst we're on the subject of EVs,  at what point did Mr Morris and his Garage envision that this

Would end up looking like this?

This is a Fred I think I could probably think of lots of responses to. Going back old skool, the Orion for one.
Or Hyundai Coupe. A car which took on the Celica.

And turned into some kind of clown car

I did this a number of years ago, or should I say, I finished someone's job!

I picked this van up which had caravan windows including a pop-up roof and a sink/oven . Basically, someone had taken the interior of a caravan and shoved it into a carpet fitters van.
It had no floor, no walls, no gas or electric (it had a hob fitted, but no way of safely using it).

Probably the biggest issue I had was creating the gas cupboard. By law (and obviously by common sense), you can't use a gas bottle inside a van. Caravans and motorhomes have this considered, but when you're building your own, you might want to consider how to do this safely.

The easiest way is to simply pass the pipe out the side of the van. I went the whole hog and bought some mild steel and built a cupboard, using a proper "door" (I find on eBay) so that I didn't have to disconnect it every time I farted.

Some pictures when I went to sell it.

Absolutely. You can do it that way. I just found it easier to make the bottle accessible from the outside. Mine had copper pipe directly going to the enclosure then a rubber pipe with regulator going onto the bottle.
