Bought a Vax spotwash machine partly for this and partly because Labrador in the house..

Ordered some drill brush attachments but in the meantime I decided to give one of the rear seat bases a quick pass over with just the machine. Not bad for a single going over!

    (Patchy as it’s still damp)

Piaggio van failed MOT today on O/S headlamp and 2 front tyres (which I knew were low) with an advisory on the N/S headlamp. Headlamps are made of unobtanium - but I have a pair squirrelled away for just such a contingency. MOT place's tyre suppliers don't now list 155x12 8-ply - no problem, said I, I'll go to my usual tyre place (estd 1925) as I've done for decades: "Sorry, none of our suppliers list that size now". Bollocks. Black circles, here I come - unless someone recommends anywhere else?

Edit: BC only do car tyres in that size, not 8 ply. Found Nankang cw25s on Camskil, £171.40 for 4 delivered. Am happy with Nankang, anyone had problems with Camskill?

I've used them a few times and they've been fine.  Sure I've heard others on here suggest them as well

    The insignia is shit.

I disagree. There - i've said it. Mine is very leggy but well maintained. Good on fuel with a reasonable turn of pace. Nimble compared to our Mk IV mondeo which for me is somewhat of a pudding and vastly overrated. At ten years old and 184 k nothing squeaks or rattles - the trim on the side of the seat near the switches has broken because of a trapped seat belt buckle.

Like all cars they have their issues but they certainly will have issues when they are treated as white goods.

This reminds me; not all Vauxhalls are shit

Damn that BM is nice.  Always fancied one of them.  Will have to have a ticket for that

    Overdue updates here…

I briefly had a yellow seicento with a leak somewhere and thogguht it’d fixed it, but this was disproven by a major storm and a major footwell puddle.

Moving the vehicle I got a shed lid of water down my neck from the sunroof so it might actually be that leaking, not the windscreen I fixed* with gutter mastic.

anyway it got roffled on New Year’s Day as I was trying to sensible and cut the fleet…

    …except…

You're right, it was the sunroof leaking.  It was full of moss and grot which was blocking the drain holes.  After clearing it all out and cleaning the drains it no longer leaks and the interior was soon dried out by a dehumidifier and fan heater.  Really enjoying it.  Nice little car.

    Audi looks nice, too btw.
