  1. That is fascinating, thank you so much. At some point I will need a sensible modern car, but by that time these will be around 20 years old and still cheap. It is either this or a very early Mk2 Megane 225 But then as they are both worthless pretty much, maybe both 😅
  2. I am always fascinated by the things you dredge up, Nordics seem to have had the most interesting shite around, and even better, still have it. It is a treasure trove, now if only Sweden had stayed RHD...
  3. Ah yes the C4 VTS, that is high on my Modern Classic want list, what are they like?
  4. Brotherwood, did they think that one through?
  5. IMO, after about 1990, cars stopped making massive leaps in terms of driveability and useability. The R8 Generation Rover 200 I feel heralded this new era of driveability and standards, and the Mk1 Focus and Mk4 Golf were the first cars of the generation we have today. Even with these though, there hasn't really been a Paradigm shift since the 70s really as far as I can make out. My Volvo 480 has everything you'd expect in a modern, and while the Audi 80 Sport is a bit agricultural, it has the guts to outside lane it with the best of the 21st century
  6. That has to be saved, how did it end up ther?
  7. I remember seeing that in my Worst Cars Ever Sold book as a child, loved it
  8. That wasn't a turbo, it was a 1.7 Two Tone edition, it belongs to one of the club members who bought it on the show, it's been a Saga for sure...
  9. How about that for a shite lineup
  10. What if it was commissioned by a successful Cat Food Magnate?
  11. He gets everywhere, never know where he's hiding!
  12. I am always nostalgic for the world that now only exists in old Top Gear episodes, a world I barely knew. Whether it was the Renault 19 turning left at the traffic lights next to the Amphibious cars, the Audi 80 for 100 quid, or just seeing cars that looked different from each other on the road. It was a different time, and I wish I could have experienced it more. However I am not nostalgic enough to by a ragged, miserable timebomb of an Audi estate
  13. Yeah it looks like they're all reversible and it's in good hands, you don't buy something as rare as that without wanting it for a good reason
  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-FIAT-CROMA-SUPER-IE-AUTO-/185279298146?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 In full late 1990s spec too
  15. Well right now we don't have the right tools to do it and I am nervous about doing too much tampering with it. Got a text just now saying they want to send some engineers over. All sounds fine but they make engineers sound like the Men In Black
  16. With the Volvo out this is currently my daily
  17. Today many things happened. My Father did his best impression of the Sculptor while we attached the space saver wheel to get the Volvo mobile again, the insurance company is being very slow so might as well do something... In good news however the Audi is back, and with the right wheels fitted the ride has been transformed My next job is to attach the rubbing strips and side trim, so will be popping down to Halfrauds to get some numberplate tape to do that, Blanco the AutoShite Cat will be watching keenly With the Starter motor repaired and the car back on the road I hope it will be ready for a daily round trip of 88 miles to Havant and back, especially as some of it will be on Smart Motorways, whether or not I will survive, I do not know, but I am hopeful, just hope that Misfire is just a spark plug
  18. Sad looking 90 quattro B2 for a preposterous amount given the condition https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-AUDI-90-2-2-QUOTTRO-FULL-MOT-DELIVERY-IN-UK-/115228121437?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  19. No Country For Old Tat: A London Butcher Is Hunted by Sadiq Khan after he racks up £2 Million worth of ULEZ charges for driving his LDV Convoy around the capital
  20. Same one as yesterday, only this time we can say HFM??!?!?! £8,995.00 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1985-Renault-Fuego-1600-GTS-68000-miles-very-rare-car-/165306803844?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 it is a 68,000 miler tho
  21. Oh yeah I drive past that one every week on my way to the gym, always very clean. (presumably) owner has a 200SX in the right colour that is usually parked in the spot next to it, though I haven't seen the Honda for a while
  22. Well, hopefully it will do. Currently looks like this(That photo was taken before I owned it):
