  1. Toyota Altezza Gita AS300. So an IS300 Sportcross here. But this is one of the rarer JDM AWD ones.
  2. If you have a list, let me know and I can see from there if you want? Just about what is 5dr isn't of any use to me. Suspect it'll be a generic ebay special (edit- aye item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290869973171 oan eBay is that exact yin). However, there is another couple of stickers that might interest you. The old runs on unleaded ones are still there.
  3. I was gonna swap the tailgates over, but might be a fair bit of work for a sticker lol. Yeah, I need to strip it and get it gone. A pal has kindly let me store it in his bit of the shed. Best I don't leave it too long!
  4. A pal had on his "Insured, taxed and MOT'd, no need to pull me". The Police did anyway 😆.
  5. Been a bit quiet on the car front. Then found something on an FB Nova group. It was cheap and local. Looks ok in the photos, but it's properly ripe. We manged to rip the rear towing eye out by hand! Just about every area is badly rotted, hell even the roof was rusty. Some one had covered it with vinyl to hide a dodgy repair that in turn caused damp to sit and cause patches of rust to form. It'll provide parts for the three door and I might chuck up an advert just in case anyone has a want for any parts. Laughed at the sticker too. Because it doesn't run worth a fuck with no choke!
  6. I'm also going for fixable too. After witnessing T'other Ryan work on his over the years. He gave his front subframe a fair wallop and it was fine after a replacement one was fitted. Even the console bushes weren't much hassle to remove and install poly replacements.
  7. @Dyslexic Viking Yeah Kiwi doesn't half get some lash ups! First one I watched was a Mustang that had been badly restored. Like it had to have massive amounts of shite chopped out. Yet, it looked perfect in it's resale red paint.
  8. Liked for progress. Sad for the small fire. As you said, it could of been MUCH worse.
  9. Thanks Gerry! Feels like it's got a biting point again 😆. It's a nice feeling to continue on the good work that has already been done to it. Cheers Ian. Yes, that does need to happen! *Sorry, I'd been trying to reply back in since last night!*
  10. Finally finished the clutch job on the Cavalier. Took longer due to pissing about with other peoples cars or no motivation. Once the gearbox was in, I got everything assembled and gearbox filled with fresh oil. Then had to tackle the issues I found while taking it apart. Gear linkage pivot pin was replaced and found a missing bolt from the downpipe to exhaust manifold join. So took that off with next to no fuss. Pre-soaked the manifold nuts and they all came off. No studs came out either! Kinda wishing I didn't need to take the downpipe off. Wasn't leaking at all, oh well. Slight bodge done by tapping the M8 sized hole out to M10. Then just a case of bolting everything back together and getting it back down on the ground. Much improved clutch action now. Last photo, is me messing with the new phone I got.
  11. Ohhh! That's an S if I mind right. Same seats as in my Altezza. That's a bloody good price for an IS200!
  12. Managed to get something sorted now. But thank you for the heads up bud 👍.
  13. Cheers 🙂. A pal reckons he's got a flywheel from a Cavalier he broke years ago. Fingers crossed he still has it. EDIT- Aye, naw he doesnae hae yin. Ach well, no to worry. Plan B.
  14. This seems familiar... The clutch was becoming very juddery. With not a lot of travel left when engaging the clutch. It was like an on off switch to me. This car has a solid bellhousing gearbox, this requires the subframe out and gearbox oot of the away. Normally an easy job, just bulky crap to heave about. Car had other ideas. The centre pin for the gear selector arm can give bother. More so if its never been out. Steel pin, alloy 'box mount. This one would not come out. Gave that idea up and just pinned the gear lever along with the selector on top of the gearbox. Just so I can realign the linkage with less hassle. I have smashed a mount once trying to remove a pin years ago. That's what I found when I took the clutch out. The friction disc was worn, the flywheel and pressure plate were VERY polished. Oooh bugger. I'm gonna look for a good second hand flywheel, as getting to someone for a resurface isn't easy for me. Whatever happens, I'll have the car sorted anyway. As it's taking up space sat as it is.
  15. Oh yeah, why not have a bit of fun with it. I wanted to get the cat back on it. Save me doing the day before the test 😂.
  16. I'm seeing only good things here. Yeah things do become trying, but that has to be the norm and be expected. Just have to find a way to make it work and you're doing a grand job so far. Nowt wrong with the welding either. As you say it's not meant to be perfect. It's good and strong. So that will do.
  17. Spent today fannying about in the shed. Sorry Gerry @GMcDbut the cherry bomb had to go. I got the stock system on, a pal had a standard hatch tailbox sat in his stock pile. Strangly enjoying the car more now it's quite a bit quieter now. I'll maybe ruin that a later date 😂. Altezza had the coilovers adjusted again. As I had fitted some roll centre adjusters. They put the suspension arms back to where they should be after "slamming it" and take the pressure off the lower balljoints. Used Garage D ones as they are proven and that's a fair chunk of alloy for it to sit into. Unfortunately there is a side effect... It lowers the car by another inch! As it raises the hub knuckle up. No good that! No picture, but I screwed the coilovers up a good bit and got the car sitting even. Just to have it tracked and tax it. Then the Cavalier can come in after. I'm doing the job it's needed for a while. The clutch! Got a NOS £50 eBay job.
  18. Thanks man 😎. Yeah it's definitely staying. Will be great to see it the same colour as the car.
  19. Not much happening on the car front. Last weekend I got a tracker fitted on the 'Tezza. While that was happening, I gave the car a hoover and trial fitted the spoiler. Suits it I thought? Must get it and other bits of bodywork done. Looks crap with the clear coat missing in places. Ah! Almost forgot. The Corsa, started up and ran perfect. Took robbing the battery out of the Cavalier to get it going. Turns out all my spare batteries are fooked. Bugger!
  20. Like the Panda 86 look. It's ready for the Touge now.
  21. Oh. Yeah, that'd be why then. Whoops! Easy fix though.
  22. Tried. I must bully him a bit again to do so! 😂
  23. More nonsense and progress. Altezza. Yeah, that'll do. So far after a short drive I can conclude BC racing coilovers are worth the coin. Still rides really nice, with giving me the look I want. Needs a alignment now. Nexia. SELT AN AWA. New owner was happy. Car behaved itself. Happily it's getting the bodywork done. Chavvy Cavvy. Damn! That colour just hits different in the sun! Parked with a pals V70. He's also a closet Shiter. Mentioned him before as he has the Fabia Estate and an LDV Convoy. If peeps want, I can post a bit more about them? Did a thing too. 17 inch alloys came back refurbished. Another friend was having a few sets of his wheels redone. Made sense to chuck mine in too. Enough of metallic flake for that OE finish. Back working on the Corsa this weekend. Setting my ambitions high for today. It WILL be running today.
