  1. Sorry, I meant to reply to you much earlier; thankyou very much for your kind comments! Mechanically, she's sorted. It would be great to do some cosmetic stuff, but the thing is I don't want to alter the original paint really. Every bump and scrape tells a story! She does need an interior deep clean and an external polish! 😎
  2. Yes, it seemed to feature right up to the end of service; a batch of Northern Counties Leyland Atlanteans had that feature. Dead confusing as it does look like a Route Number! 😎

The wrecker is more likely based on an ex-military AEC- can't remember the name now- either Mandator or Matador. *Edit* I reckon it is a Matador: https://truck-encyclopedia.com/ww2/uk/aec-matador.php It appears- like so many bus wreckers- to have bodywork using a number of bus\coach components... 🤓
