My current fleet at the moment, I have converted the maroon saloon and red estate to turbo diesels with the grey estate still being original with its 1.6 petrol. I have a GT2052 to go onto a engine with head studs and HDI rods eventually which will be even more hilarious in a 305 on 175 tyres. The red estate I got recently and was last on the road in 2012 and has had alot of new bits fitted to make it hopefully reliable.

Yeah, looks to have been lacking some corrosion inhibitors heh. But the coolant mysteriously disappeared (no leaks) could have maybe evaporated but.. I was driving it unknowlingly as the shitty level sensor design didnt work with my aftermarket temp gauge somehow sitting happy. Sadly got my 2000 odd miles of fun out of it over the past month I had it finished so dont want to go back to a N/A engine.

Had a bit of a XUD moment with my 305, head is cracked and with it being £500 for bare 1.9TD heads... Not sure if I will try to track down a used head / other engine or a hdi only thing that worries me is getting the ECU to play ball but if its from an early enough car it shouldnt be too bad.

It's a 306 attempting to rival a KA I guess.

£800 to insure Xantia, £380 to insure Xantia engine swapped 305 with all modifications declared mmok. I was shocked how cheap it was for the 305 with mods being 21 I was expecting to get absolutely rinsed.

Would appear to be the same you are welcome to borrow the one from my NG900 to try, I have a spare one in my garage but cant remember if thats the broken or one I pulled from a breaker.

Mine looked perfect too even tried reflowing but another unit fixed my high beam issue. Wonder if its the same as the NG900 one im sure I have a spare aswell.

Trying to find a good photo of it, im sure you can buy that top metal bit and the piece of rubber seperately.

Oh didnt read fully, id say its coarse but its recessed so you cant really cut it. Maybe you could drill it or get a replacement metal shim bit at the top.

Would have a go at getting the top nut off without destroying the shock while you are waiting, might take you 3 weeks so you can get the right springs from autodoc.

Opened my door and had it fall off towards me couldnt even put it back into place due to the way the top hinge roll pin sheared, door removed remains hammered out and suitable torx key fitted.

Think it might be time to fit the replacement beam

I wonder how hot an XUD can get before head gasket consumption Hose burst

BX TZD Turbo obtained, could be doing with a rear bumper or atleast the red trim bit but will probably have to buy a black one and paint it.

Hit a fairly small pothole in the 305 recently disintegrating a 35 year old bushing on the offside causing the arm to clatter against the subframe making all kinds of horrible noises. The pothole didnt do this but I paid someone to press in new bushings at the other end and they must have supported it by the aluminium shattering it. Got a replacement off DodgyBastard's parts 305 thankfully.

My 305 reached a destination for the first time in 24 years presumably, thanks to @garbaldy for the replacement engine.

Thought I would try to start the 305 for a laugh, it was not too happy about that.

Would be great for the 305 but its alot for just wanting the engine and id feel sort of bad tearing it apart.

Get it and you can take the towing eye cover and I can have the engine?
