EML reacted to Supernaut in The grumpy thread
Hence my nervous breakdown last autumn and the fact I'm now 150 miles away hiding in the middle of nowhere.

Aha! Rare win!
Guy at the depot agreed it was idiotic the way they did things. Thankfully he was able to look up the customs charge number from the tracking number so I could just pay and collect the parcel there and then.
So win there for a change!
Admittedly the £70 customs charge on top of £35 postage did sting a little, but that can't be helped.

So the other day I had the last bulb pop behind the dash
which led to absolutely zero illumination, nothing at all, which made an evening drive back from the metro centre through an average speed check zone a barrel of laughs
anyway, hopped on eBay and for the pricely sum of £6 I purchased a pack of bulbs
spent an hour today replacing them all
and doesn't that look absolutely awesome!
a massive improvement
oh I also filled up with diesel 400 miles ago, bear in mind a lot of it has been town driving and hilly country roads, it's proving very frugal
i reckon I won't have to refuel before the new year, I'd say I've comfortably got 200 miles left

I find it to be an abject failure of my cockney DNA if I return from the tip empty handed.

They usually won’t let you take anything. I always ask but I was pretty surprised when the bloke said he’d look the other way

Think I'll have to change my user name to Workshop Cat 🤣
This is Peep he's a Feral, and he has made his home here for the foreseeable. 😁
He loves nothing better that to curl up and sleep somewhere in my shed, apart from being fed of course.

It was bound to happen eventually… Going to car shows I always hope to see one of my old steeds still out and about living it’s best life. FOTU provided TWO!

Out on the train. You meet the best people.
This gentleman was browsing the actual physical Wetherspoons food menu.
This lad seemed like he was a bit peckish as well.
PC up one to one.
