  1. Terrifyingly bad fuel economy, lack of torque (relative to the diesel)
  2. Bloody hell, how long has it been on sale?!? 😵
  3. Not suggesting in any way that it's good value or worth buying, but am curious why it's a Cat-S when you can clearly see there's no damage to the sill, and nothing obvious to the roof. Are doors "structural" now? EDIT: NVM, just noticed the back of the door shut
  4. I was about to call for new pants, when I noticed the engine swap. They could at least have fitted a Ford V8 instead of a "cheevy". Better still, they could have left it the fuck alone
  5. All the time, when I've been drinking cider
  6. There's one of those local to me, brush painted in a fetching dull green. It looks quite capable. And rusty.
  7. That Maxi looks to be smaller than the bloody Mini. Bonkers.
  8. Isn't that a prime candidate for the biodegradable wiring loom, given the year? Would explain the faults... and herald many more!
  9. The side of the bonnet is pure Lada Niva, but the front..? It's a shrug from me, Bob.
  10. As I'm sure Cavcraft will be delighted to hear, my employer Northern Shithole Council are in the process of replacing their fleet of VW Transporters and Ford Transits with Ivecos and Vauxhall electric vans. I spoke to a maintenance joiner today who has one of the Ivecos, he says the build quality isn't the best, but he's most annoyed by the lack of aircon.
  11. Normally I dislike anything LHD, but this is the mirror image of the one I had in the late 90s. Very comfortable car, and ate miles for fun
  12. That ad is something else... "Gemballa (Copy) GT 650" So, it's not a real Gemballa then? The £5k price would never have tipped me off... "New battery life time warranty" Ok..? "Rare body kit made for Gemballa, I have never seen another one anywhere, fully body kit was re fitted before respray with new graphic set fitted only 4 weeks ago" Shame about the overspray and bad wrap tho... "Full Porsche service history" Two Porsche stamps is a full service history? And why is there and 11 year gap between the second and third (third party) service? "Well to be honest I do not want to sell her, but due to ill health she has to go to a new home, she is only every used for car shows and Sundays out, she is 100% perfect in all ways without any problems at all, has had all the normal upgrades, heater pipes, starter motor, oil pump, upgraded cut disks, has had the piston sleeves upgraded to Darnton steel sleeves, total engine rebuild by previous owner, has upgraded MD561 Stage 1 Hybrid Turbos that push the car in to the 650BHP, separate cold air intakes, larger injectors, new coil packs, car is always run on shell super, also has had new air bags on the front, air ride works as it should. New plugs." If that was true and not just word salad, it would be worth more than £5k "has a correct full carbon fibre bonnet" If true, worth more than £5k on its own "All tyres have 5 m plus on them" Yes, I'm picking on him for a typo "Gloss Stainless steel 3 inch pipes with no Cats" So, won't pass another (legit) MOT then. I can see why there were no advisories on your last one... "Has a box of old coil pack and bit and bobs, old Porsche carpets etc" You want me to take your other rubbish away too? "1 week old full qualitied cut to shape carpets with retainers" That is one precocious child, to be a full qualitied carpet fitter at 1 week of age "Sits a 68mph with a 29mpg, or 20mpg around town, don’t put yourself in the fun zone lol, 15mpg but worth every penny" Yeah, nah, mate, think I'll pass
  13. Not heard of that one before. Is it a sort of remake of Deathrace 2000?
  14. I'm sure @Cavcraft would love one of these: "The Dakar Winner 2023 - IVECO Powerstar. This 6.8 metre long 9300 kg beast has a 12.9 Litre (789 ci) engine 6 cyl engine developing 600kw (850hp) and 3600 Nm! The weight balance is 50:50"
  15. Evidence of an attempt to make a transmission parking brake?
  16. Another one shamelessly nicked from farcebook feed:
  17. Interesting information, but none of those are Rover Group designed cars, predating the creation of that last desperate hurrah by decades.
  18. Is the battery not in the engine bay then? I know some mid-engine cars have remote batteries of course, never expected such sophistication from a Rover Group product 😛
  19. Or just bloody well bump start it. A more suspicious person might think they cut the bonnet release cable to hide that fact that the cylinder head is missing or some nonsense.
  20. Bonus "Oooof" for the Mk1 Celica in the background, and a bonus "Meh..." for the Mk2 Escrot
  21. Good thing they weren't suicide doors!
  22. "Has the 4.0 v8 Most reliable engine ever made and has only done 83k" "Needs a bit tlc, doesn't go over 3rpm" I see...
  23. Not to mention the thoroughly inappropriate Jag wheels, vile whitewall tyres, and that (as has been previously mentioned) utter abortion of a dashboard. What a disgusting act of vandalism
