Bitzer reacted to quicksilver in Now this is an advert.
That reads like it was written by the eBay AI bot. All those superlatives and flowery language but no specifics are typical of its output.

Bitzer reacted to ETCHY in Renault's reputation in America was so bad, it ran this ad to introduce the R10
Thing is you could sort of say that about a beetle. European & rear engined.
Renault were probably hoping for some of that action.

Bitzer got a reaction from motorpunk in Abandoned shite
It is not Y10, it is simply Y. Great car, I had one in a funky "Giallo Tropici" color. Basically, it is Punto Mk1 with a party hat. Unfortunately, mine succumbed to very terminal rust. I still have the alloys somewhere in a dark corner of my workshop.

Bitzer got a reaction from Tickman in Is it shit? : your car reviews
Tipo 1.4 i.e., third Fiat I owned, bought for peanuts from a lady who was quoted absurd amount of money for front brake discs/pads replacement by a cowboy mechanic. It never let me down, spacious and very practical car. It even had an airbag, which was not standard in ye olden days. Succumbed to terminal rust. It only had one bad habit - the door locks were not watertight and sometimes froze in winter. I even remember its paint shade name - "Grigio Zermatt".

Bitzer got a reaction from Dyslexic Viking in One (shite) picture per post.
Rare bird. Just like Trabi with Polo engine. I remember a dude owning the last version (IIRC, it was made in Hungary) trying to race with my Punto 55 many moons ago. I let him win, because a) I do not race b) I love Trabi c) he obviously wanted to make a point I fully agree with.
Trabi is a legend no matter how you spin it.

Spotted today. Unfortunately, no hand-painted white "FFI" on the doors.

This is not a promotional photo from VEB Automobilwerk Eisenach dated, say, 1975. It was taken two days ago. Note the counterrevolutionary chrome-plated bumpers and hubcaps.

This. A sign of a sad decline of a brand known for making nice-looking, quirky, yet very practical cars.

Bitzer reacted to scdan4 in Just a bit of Focus
Another MK1 focus into the fold.
Looks nice and shiny. 1 family low owners since new.
Very clean design for a 20 yr old. New Edge looks both 90s and modern.
But shows it age in other ways, mainly tunage. No aux in, DAB or Bluetooth.
It's a ghia, but No heated seats or cruise control.
Fluffy Ford seats with comedy afterthought armrest.
Grey on grey 1.6 powerhouse for schlepping into town and leaving parked on the road all day. Looks gr8 M8, billy bargain, what could be wrong with that...

I'm an enthusiast = I fix my own car with twin and earth, baler twine, self tappers/tek screws, and mix my own underseal from a secret family blend of creosote and Golden Virginia

Just keep 'em running. I still miss my blue 5-door 55S. Terminal rust.
