So we successfully completed the 4 Hours of Most Endurance race in the Czech Republic. Pretty impressed the old cooling system had no issues since that was the only thing I was worried about. Wasn't the fastest team on the track but still had a huge amount of fun. https://youtu.be/lNVRNl0ZT_s

All the rear suspension parts I changed were the same as the longer models. I changed the shocks, springs, control arms and the upper and lower control bushes. Everything I rear was that they are the same. Only the final drive is shorter.

Yes it's the same engine. Same car, just with a sloshbox and a bigger arse 🤣

Ok so the plan was to go racing and that involved getting the car up to standard on the cheap. I had forgotten how rusty cars from Scotland can be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3do8agHNu8

I've been lucky with the engine in this one. I had both an E36 and E34 engine blow on me so I've been probably more paranoid than most with this car.

I recently bought a rusty E46 325ti (the compact one) with the intention of having some fun with it in some future events and making a mini-series on Youtube. Its not the prettiest thing in the world but it runs (now) and drives in enough of a straight line that it is usable.

I did purposeley pick out the nastiest footage for the purpose of the video. People tend to want to see spins, crashes and flips more than just uneventful clean racing on YouTube. We were spun by another driver once and it was more of an accident tbh. Everyone was there to have a good time and the biggest danger was the 'riskier' driving. Because the cars were garbage, the track was so narrow and 'rubbing' was less of a problem, quite a few drivers were carrying out some hella ballsy overtakes etc that you wouldnt see in a real race series. Also from what I saw, the most aggressive drivers had the most bashed up cars at the end. It wasn't just 2 or 3 d-heads wrecking everyone else's car then laughing at the end.

You really would need a trailer/low loader. We were incredibly lucky to be able to drive home. Don't know when the next one is yet. There was supposed to be one in January but it was cancelled due to covid.

The cheapest race series in the UK that are licensed are the C1 cup and the KA series and they both cost around 15k a piece for everything. Thats ludicrous amounts of money for your normal person so I am all for these rough and ready events that allow people to get a taste of racing without bankrupting themselves. Everyone there was only wearing a helmet so there are definitely loads of people who are happy to give it a go.

Finished making a YouTube video of the 4 hours of Lochgelly Endurance race from the end of last year. They usually run a few of them throughout the year although they are obviously postponed just now. Hope you guys enjoy.

I decided to move on and get a new car. This is the last update on Project Golf and the first of the new project car. The Golf needed too much work and the fuel savings were not worth the misery of such a slow car. I hope anyone following enjoys. https://youtu.be/wWeedodRfks

This is my buddy's 1988 Volvo 740 that hes dropped a 2.3 turbo into and is currently building into a track car. I thought you guys might approve. He doesn't have an Autoshite account so he asked me to post while he registers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX3ozplNQr0&t=5s

Update video on the golf. Its running great and I've just done some TLC thats shown in the video. I also picked up 20 litres of the cheapest 5w30 oil available on eBay so I'll see what that looks like in 6 months when I do my next oil change. All the questions I forgot to answer in my first video are answered at the start of this one. Hope you guys enjoy.
