Cars & Coffee in Liverpool, this morning! Engine basically as per Mk3 GTI / Corrado 8v but low compression for African fuel quality which is where it’s come from…

Put these words in the correct order… Cracked. Head. Cylinder. And now these words in the correct order… Sterling. Thousand. Five. Up to.

A diesel specific 15w40 or 10w40 next time should help shift some dirt. Agreed on avoiding the engine flushes. Can’t see that ending well on a 35 year old car! Or anything else for that matter….

I was driving down the A14 a couple of months ago. Heading away from Huntingdon towards the M6. Around Kettering, there was a Triumph TR6 in a lay-by. I’m guessing the same engine as a GT6 but not sure? Anyway, a bigger pile of shite it’s hard to imagine. Looked like it was on it last legs. Young lad and presumably his girlfriend stood beside it with the bonnet open. I later stopped in a lay-by nearer to the M6 for a break. Triumph was most definitely running on six as he dropped a gear for the big hill as it came past. WHAT. A. NOISE. Forget your BMW E46 M3’s etc. This thing sounded incredible!!!!!

They may have rebranded it to Millers Diesel EcoMax actually!
-
A bottle of Millers Diesel Max will treat 10 tanks of fuel and I’ve found that makes a big difference. £11 online or £13 in a physical shop.

I’ll have a couple or randoms when the time comes…..

Is the Iveco is pre 2001 then it won’t legally need a speed limiter. It can also do 70mph in the outside lane.

This fine, reliable machine is looking for a new home if anyone is interested? It’s at Wilson’s auction, Dalry.
