  1. It’s a real shame the paint has rubbed through on the corners. That’s preventable damage. Easily the biggest let down to these eyes. The rest of the car looks sound. A bit of titivation to the sills and rear arch required, but you’re good at that. I really enjoyed seeing the white W124 being brought up to scratch and I’ll enjoy this just as much. Interior is lovely and I think that alone validates the mileage. Don’t get too hung up on £3,600. Plenty of people would’ve paid that for it. I think with some of your attention, you’ll have a £5,000 car in 18 months or so. You know what Ford values are like! Looking forward to more.
  2. Four New Cross Climate 2 tyres. Seatbelts now rendered pointless.
  3. You still see old ERF’s working. Ones from the late 80’s to mid 90’s.
  4. Welcome back @Mr_Bo11ox Please stay 🙏
  5. Does this belong to someone on here? Seems really familiar, but annoyingly, I can’t place it! G reg Renault 5 in Liverpool. Red with white wheels. Brilliant photo of it leaving Aldi in miserable winter weather!
  6. American car buying advice above is interesting. They will claw a bit back compared to use with the cost of petrol? Well, the ones driving 1600cc Kia’s will. The others driving huge V8’s, less so.
  7. I’d have yours any day of the week! The wheels on yours are perfect… Has it got its own thread?
  8. Stick with the old Merc! I bought one from a very well respected classic Merc dealer in September 17. Supposed to have been checked to within an inch of its life etc. Gave me all sorts of bother initially. Including a fail to proceed at the side of the road one day! I persevered and worked my way through stuff and got there in the end. I’ve had it over six years now and put 30,000 miles on it and it perfectly reliable. They’re quite unique in the way they drive. In some ways, as modern feeling as a contemporary car. In other ways, very antiquated! Mine is a 2.5D.
  9. The bigger the trailer, the easier they are to reverse. Little tip trailers are about as hard it’s as it gets. If you can reverse one of those around a corner accurately, you can reverse anything!
  10. A Mini adventure if ever I saw one…
  11. You can’t outrun the radio… 🚙💨💨💨 🚓
  12. Correct! 1936! https://auctions.hampsonauctions.com/auction/lot/lot-42---1936-vauxhall-big-six/?lot=1446&so=0&st=&sto=0&au=21&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=1&pp=96&pn=1&g=1
  13. A few interesting cars moved this week. Unlike all the usual modern boxes I’m usually stuck with. The maroon and black Vauxhall dated from 1926 I think.
  14. Ha! I was about to say the front end looks very un Japanese to me! The rear and side definitely Japanese however!
  15. The Audi A8 has been available with the four pot 2.0 TDI on the continent for over a decade. We got the Mercedes S Class in the UK with the 2.1 four pot diesel for a while, too.
  16. I saw that one in Edinburgh a few months ago!
  17. VW Taro! As rare as rare can be!
