Aside from needing those number plates frisbeeing into the nearest skip, that does look a treat.

I thought I knew all about Granadas, right up until I watched a Korean film recently set in the 80’s and the senior Cops and Government people, were using these.
I knew about the Hyundai Cortinas but had no idea they made Grannys, note the V6 badge and the Japanese looking interior, apparently very expensive and only available for 3 years .
Now to research the Kia alternative- a Pug 604!

I had an Audi A4 B7 as a company car for a while. The speedo had different increments above and below 80km/h. Like this:

I‘m sure Audi thought they were being really clever with this arrangement, but it drove me nuts and just added to my puzzlement as to why people buy Audis.

Another phab phact - many of Bussings lorries had 'underfloor', flat diesel engines which were so popular with their customers that MAN continued to build them well into the 1980's, which wasn't bad as Bussing developed them in the early '30's!

Look below the spare wheel - there's an engine.

Back in the early 70s, my Dad was the proud owner of one of these:

A marathon special edition VW Beetle 1300. In summer it would have the roof rack crammed with luggage, a tent stuffed into the trailer and its mighty 44bhp engine would haul us from Liverpool to Cornwall for the family summer holiday. My 2 sisters and I would sleep in the space offered by the folded down rear seat and parcel shelf above the engine. We would start the journey late at night, arriving at our destination late the following morning. I‘ve no idea how the 3 of us managed to find sleeping space in the back of this thing, but I do remember on one such journey waking up and seeing the Clifton Suspension Bridge, pne of my most vivid childhood memories. And yes, I did become an engineer.
My parents considered this travel arrangement so successful, that it was repeated in Dad‘s next car, which was one of these.

A Mk2 Ford Escort Estate 1.1 base, in white. The family had grown in the meantime, which meant that there were now 4 of us kipping the 9 or so hour journey away on the folded down rear seat. We had to relinquish the trailer, because the resulting performance would have been measured in geological timescales, which was too slow even for my Dad.

Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in lightly* modified form being used by ISIS. After the US plumber whose name and phone number appear on the side was interviewed by the CIA, he sued the dealership he‘d originally sold the thing to. The CIA went on to investigate how ISIS had managed to procure so many Toyota pickups.

Here’s another pic of the same truck.

The company that made the 928 estate also put an innocent Mk1 Golf onto a 928 chassis, this is the result:
