They are set up ok. Vag specialist and done plenty of dsg boxes. They were my regular garage, when the Mrs had her TT.

The powershite box- learn something new every day or Ford are talking shite. Finally found a local garage that will change the fluid in the Mondeo. Very reasonable quote, but no filter itemised. Went to see them. Ford have told them, there are 3 types of powershift box (news to me) and mine does not have a filter. Every YT vid I've seen for the Powershite box has a filter. Booked it in for two weeks time. If they find it does have a filter, they can sort it out with Ford. In two weeks time, expect a post along the lines of ' Powershift failure'

How do you get a ticket? Is it a YT channel?

I broke BFG slightly - Cookie's adventures in shiteing

Well at the weekend, I found some old greased lightning waterless wash and wax in the shed. Been there at least 8 yrs. So I decided to polish the Mondeo in the dark (as you do). Clearly I missed half the bonnet. In other news, while many AS members will be enjoying shitefest this weekend, I will be on a collection mission. -
Grogee's spannering (Puma, Maestro , Corsa & Avensis). MAESTRO MALAISE

G3 is good stuff. When I was trading motors, 20 years ago, some G3 could add pounds to the sticker price. Since then technology has probably moved on, but its still my fave for scratch removal. -

for confirming the problem for the technical hitch -
To be safe you would need to be named on his insurance and drive with the trade plate displayed.

Thats a tough one. Spend the money on a new motor, not that you will get a lot for 800 quid, or fix what you have. Thats a big bill. If you love it and plan on keeping it a long time, then worth fixing. But if neither of those apply, then time for it to go. -

College motors - they have fb page. Also join the owners club fb group. They will be able to point you in right direction. Other groups available too, that are really good. -
Was the designer responsible for the Discovery 3's back end, also responsible for this?

Very quick update Mondeo - still providing great service. Still not polished the headlights or changed the fluid in the powershite box. I clearly like to live dangerously. Honda - Its a Honda, so absolutely nothing to report. I'm a tad worried about the high bite point, but its been like that forever. Not sure why I'm stressing about it. A car has been purchased. Well a deposit has been put down. I will be going on a cross country trip in a couple of weeks to get it. Its Mrs Cookie's birthday in a couple of weeks and as I have failed miserably to build the fire 🔥 pit she wanted, thought I'd better get her a motor instead. -

Mondy had a service today - Oil and Oil / Air / Fuel filters. Plus brake check. 168 inc vat. Pretty happy and the car does drive a little better, so the oil change has done it good. -

Don't get your hopes up. Need to increase the budget a bit and persuade Mrs Cookie that she actually likes white cars -

My budget is also skinflint. 4k is out of budget. There is one in Portishead on the club classifieds. I use to work with the current owner. Loads of work done but smoky engine, which scares me. -

Fleet wise, not a lot happening. Mondeo is off for oil and filters on Friday. Honda keeps Hondering. Mrs Cookie got very upset that I didn't buy the Austin 1300 ADO16 that was for sale. I didn't expect her to like it. Now I spend a lot of time perusing classifieds to find one in budget. Budget is not big enough lol -
Parked next to me at Supermarket in Frome. From the look of the interior, I can well believe its done 400k.
