I've always thought the Corsa C would be a cockroach. I still see plenty around
 
They're pretty rust-resistant for a small car that came out in 2000 (much better than the Polo or Fiesta) and the most popular engine (1.2) is a chain, so forgotten belt changes didn't write them off
 
Although most of those chains started ticking/rattling by 50k or so, most seemed to merrily tick on indefinitely rather than actually snapping
 
They seem to avoid rust better than the Corsa D too

Presumably this means they can be fitted with towbar and electrics, but only when being built at the factory?

It might just be because there were millions in the first place but I see a surprising amount of Corsa Cs approaching their second decade. My parents had one from new in 2005 and we ended up with it as a second car from 2013-17. I regularly see it and it's still going several careless owners later though the 'ultra blue' paint is flat as a witches tit now and the top end is knocking nicely. I'm hoping it makes it to its 20th birthday next year.

I bought some pans recently, supposedly made for induction hobs then a week or so later I picked up a set of le cruset pans at a boot sale 
The le cruset are fantastic on induction, the small pan heats a ½  litre of water from tap to boiling in under 2 minutes 
The chinashite ones, I could still dip my fingers in the pan after 2 minutes

It was probably scrapped but DVLA not notified. That sort of thing wasn't really controlled back then

I reckon that’s what has fucked my roof, the insulation looks to be so thick that it’s creating an air pocket round the edges that presumably has restricted air circulation.

Whilst he spaffed 15K on something worth maybe 5K, and shit happens at times.
I fail to see the connection to losing his home.
I feel he may have poorly organised other things in his life along the way.

Have another:  I always mix cross plies and radials on the same axle on my MGT. I find it makes cornering rather fun and fully brightens up the quick sprint back to the digs for tiffin after cwicket pwactice.
