  1. Re. driver's seatbelt. Have you tried some silicon spray on it? Pull all of the belt out, wipe off any obvious dirt then give it a liberal spraying before wiping any excess off as it retracts. I've improved a few that way. Furniture polish, back to black and trim cleaner all work too.
  2. @wuvvum, @Six-cylinder& @BL Bloke - Cottage is booked for Fri 14th & Sat 15th July. They're putting the price up to £30 per room for the two nights - hope that's ok? All three rooms are doubles so if you want to bring a partner (or have an affair?) that's fine. I'll PM you directions and details closer to the time.
  3. @wuvvum, @Six-cylinder& @BL Blokehave first dibs on the Cottage - I'll try and confirm the booking today.
  4. Should be but now you've expressed an interest I'll ask at work and see if it's for the Friday and Saturday night. It'll depend on whether the cleaning staff want the overtime on the Sunday. If @wuvvum takes one room they'll be two other ensuite rooms available - last year they charged £25 per room for the two nights. It's about 20 minutes drive from the campsite.

  7. Sorry @Dave_Q, I hadn't considered the implications for childcare - don't see why an area for those with kids who want to camp together can't be accommodated in the shiters' field. Why don't we just treat the second field as overspill if we get enough bodies to fill the first one?
  8. Hope you can make it @twosmoke300. The saffron buns went down well last year! Is anyone else up for bringing some regional delicacies to share? Don't leave it all up to the Celtic peoples!
  9. Thanks for starting the list @aldo135 Hope you can make it @AnnoyingPentium, there'll probably be a Scotoshite Convoy for to join and if you do make it the Irn Bru would be welcome. Last year we had Scottish breakfast and Cornish saffron buns perhaps everyone should be encouraged to bring some delicacies from their region to share? 1) Sunny Jim - off site - Sunday Breakfast 2) Binhoker668 - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast 3) HillmanImp - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast 4) Ghosty - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast 5) HorribleMercedes - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast 6) Jim Bell - Off site - No breakfast 7) MondeoBlues - Saturday night camping - Sunday Breakfast 8 Catsinthewelder - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast (1 to 4) 9) Aldo135 - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast x4 10) AnnoyingPentium - Both nights camping - Sunday Breakfast - TBC
  10. Yes, it's possible to get a caravan in either field.
  11. As we've not been able to sort anywhere else we're back at the Snowdon Inn again this year. £10 per person per night payable in cash on arrival - no need to book a pitch just let me know via this thread if you're coming. We've got the same field as last year with the option for those with kids and anyone else who fancies an early night to take one of the remaining pitches in the other field. Details as follows: The Snowdon Inn Campsite, Llanberis Road (A4086), Cwm Y Glo, Gwynedd LL55 4EE X marks the spot Pizza from the onsite bakehouse or kebab from the van just outside the site for evening meals, lunch BYO or cafes within walking distance. Will our Scottish brethen be bringing cornered Celtic delicacies for Saturday breakfast? I'll try and organise egg or bacon butties from the bakehouse for Sunday morning. @binhoker668 and I will plan some walks/excursions. For those who don't fancy camping I could enquire about the availability of beds at the residential centre where I work about 20 mins drive from the site. Let's start a list saying what nights, on or off site and whether you'll want breakfast on the Sunday. 1) Sunny Jim - off site - Sunday breakfast Could @chaseraceror @brownnova unpin the old thread and pin this one instead please?
  12. Right, 14th and 15th July it is. Just spoken to Ted and we've got the same field as last year. We were a little cramped in there last year but Ted has already got 20 people staying on the other field. What Ted has suggested is that if there's anybody with kids or who fancies an early night they could have a pitch in the second field allowing more space for the rest of us. He's not going to take any more bookings for that weekend so there should be plenty of space across the site. Same deal as last year, £10 per person per night. Perhaps it would be easier if I start a new thread for this year with all the relevant info at the top as this one is becoming rather long and difficult to navigate? New thread here - please add your name to the list.
  13. Heard from Ted at the campsite. 14/15 and 21/22 July are available. FoTU is 29th July. What works best for people, events on consecutive weekends or a week off in between?
  14. Keep on keeping on, I'm sure you'll find a way through it all.
  15. Is anyone organising anything or shall I get in touch with the Snowdon Inn and see if they'd have us again this year?
