Quick update on the van, roof still giving me grief. Had to replace the side box section on both sides of the van ran the full length of the van. Removed the rotten gutters and then welded, welded, welded. Then filled sanded, filled, sanded, filled, sanded. Primered, sanded, filled, Primered, sanded, Primered etc etc etc. Had a couple of tins of gold hammerite knocking about so mixed them at 3 to 1 and sprayed the underside of the roof to seal it. Another bit of sanding and then spray the roof an off white. Hardest part was getting the curve right.

More roof work, welding done cleaned and primer'd inside. Gave up trying to work with the paint on the roof decided to just strip it back to metal and start again.

managed to get the rusting seams removed and welded back together. Installed some support struts in side to re-enforced the roof and pop it back out. Grinding cutting welding now filling and sanding. some before during after shots.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-X19-Barn-find/184166503766?hash=item2ae12dd556:g:G9kAAOSwQTVeI4Dn Oh dear at least he is honest.... Found on my land when I purchased it so I have no details to offer. Very happy if you want to inspect. If you want any of it you take it all, I just want rid. Suggest it might pull onto a transporter, equally it may fall apart.

FFS.... I was working on repairing hole in the roof. And discovered this mess. Looks it has all been held together with filler and fibreglass. Nothing to weld to so building a support strut that I will attach to front roof and rear section bulkhead, inside the van. I don't have a bender so cut the box section and achieved the correct roof curve one for each side will spot weld it to the roof. And bolt it to the bulkhead. I'm also going to create a drain hole to stop water collecting in the gutter and the rot happening again.

Progress has been made, huzzzah! Gearbox is off being repaired. I've got the chassis back on the van and a V8 (partially built) in a very tight position. Going to start making exhaust manifolds next week.
