  1. I mean, while I congratulate you on obtaining a small fortune worth of metal... These really were shit cars, weren't they? I mean, even in their day they were very average. Personally, I think the only car more overrated than the selection box of 60s and 70s Fords are E-Type jags, which manage to somehow be fugly, unreliable, uncomfortable, poor handling and extortionately expensive.
  2. A proper workshop, and not a parts fitter - there are far too few of these. Good luck.
  3. FWIW - I always wear ear plugs, wind noise around a crash helmet at 60mph for more than a few minutes is worse than a rock concert for damaging your hearing.
  4. A Pug 307? How Excitizzzzzzzzzzz
  5. Let's hope they make some money for the family and go to someone who can save and make use of them.
  6. Never heard anyone call a Bandit boring before, but they are very smooth which could be interpreted that way I guess.
  7. It's better than living in a retard state.
  8. But motorway driving is the same as dual carriageway driving - sure, there's a few extra rules that you should know as part of your theory. I don't see the need for a separate test.
  9. Can you imagine most of the people who use our motorways being able to drive at any speed they see fit? Or driving at 100mph towards some of them? These people aren't even intelligent enough to keep left or to check their mirrors before changing lanes.
  10. Agreed, outrageously expensive fines is the way to stop it. £100 fine is an annoyance for most, not a deterrent. My unpopular opinion would be more enforcement cameras - particularly on traffic lights and busy roundabouts. But I'd happily accept it if they blanketed all urban areas to prosecute and monetise all the arsehole drivers who blatantly ignore the rules of the road.
  11. This. They aren't eco friendly beyond the local area to where they're being driven - even if the electricity used is 100% renewable. And unless you only ever charge at home, they're a pain. An expensive pain. Spoken as someone who owns one.
  12. You don't need cross climates.

    Ambitious towbars

Then you're lucky. Sharpie written directly onto the metal, and then crossed out when changing cars is quite normal for some around here.
  14. I use a far too stout chain from the tow bar to the trailer. I've never had one go missing yet, and I hope I never do. I'm also fairly paranoid about the condition of the trailer.
  15. A clean MOT pass on a 14 year old 140k mile Skoda workhorse. That's the previous 3 years motoring for £85 per year plus fuel, oil, filters and insurance. Can't help but grin at that, and long may it continue.
  16. I always desire the slightly more obscure and unusual in my transportation. I'd go for the Merc.
  17. I've never driven a car with a column manual, but I've wanted to for ages, ever since a mate restored a Ford Zephyr in the 90's.
  18. Cavalier? Perhaps a nice Citroën GS for sir?
  19. This may seem like a silly question, and I may have missed it in the very many posts, but since this matters so much to you what are you doing to try and get them to fix it? Apart from complaining on the internet, that is....
  20. First and foremost, LBF, it isn't your thread. It's a thread you started on a discussion board. It is polite to remain on topic, but other than that... It's just a discussion thread. I don't care at all about invacars, but I'll still post if I feel I have something to contribute.
  21. Somehow, Bradford city centre looks brighter in that image than I recall from last year.
  22. Followed a pick up today, laden with firewood. BB10 LOG
