Missed my scheduled train because of commuters getting on the bus at every stop! How very rude. So time to get brekkie, no burger place in sight so I went to the ' pasty shop' where I bought the ultimate breakfast roll ( their words) ok then whatever....

Morning. No early start collecting going on here! Off to get my wife's new car. It will involve 2 border crossings though 😂😂. No brekkie yet as hoping for some fast food from a quality* burger establishment. Poo count =0 ( disappointing I know)

Minor milestone for the bug. To celebrate another year of motoring I went out to get this done.

The beetle cabriolet of many shiters failed it's MOT Tuesday, handbrake imbalance and emmisions, due to a misfire. New coil pack, spark plugs and leads, handbrake adjusted and today we have a clean pass, no advisories happy days

Is that because sometimes we actually walk to our local shop 😂😂

Yes it sounds glorious on full bore but a part of me just wants to keep it original. Having said that after riding it a few times now I may keep the pipes on and just repair the stock pipes and store them in the shed. I'll try to get my son to video me going up the road so you can hear some revs 🙂

Went to the Bath festival of motoring today. Mmmm, spent an hour there and then left, not brilliant but here is some pics of a few cars.

I want this back to stock, I only got the pipes so I can get a couple of holes in the original pipes sorted then rechromed. I guess it's rose tinted glasses but the older bikes are much nicer. Much less plastic and electronics.

Cool. I never had a GT, had RDs, KHs and an NSR but never a Suzuki 2 stroke. So I thought I should, as you do, whilst they are still just about in my price range.

Just taken the GT out for a first proper, legal run. 30 miles and I couldn't stop smiling! Nothing beats the sound of a stroker coming on song, well except a spitfire with a Merlin engine, but anyway I couldn't fault it. Seems to run sweet. Popped to work to park next to our mechanics KH500. Edit: only downside was getting royally bummed filling up with Esso supreme at £2.06 a litre 😡
