Yes, it's a Mini Jiffy pick up. Made by indespension (the trailer manufacturers). They use a standard mini front subframe and a bespoke rear chassis.

An update on das Audi. I decided to run it up to temperature to see if the bad tappety noise would go away. I concluded: 1. If there was something siezed or broken in the valve train then the damage would already have happened. 2. The heat cycle might help to free up anything that wasn't playing ball. The good news was the more that I ran it, the quieter it got. After 20 mins the cooling fan cut in and the engine was running sweet. Result! Next step was to free off the clutch. A firm stamp on the peddle and it went to the floor. Result again! A bit of air in the tyres and it was ready for it's first drive in 15 years 🙂 Next step is to sort out the fuel pump relay and give it a good wash.

Valid points! I'm happy with it. It has come from my father in law who has owned it for about 40 years so I know the history. The only reason that it was parked up was because it wasn't being used anymore. It was previously used for running a pto pressure washer. I agree that these can be money pits and can also be very dangerous in the wrong hands. Despite mini's being my thing I've actually had a bit of tractor experience, last week I was driving a Case 885xl and a few weeks ago I was in a Zetor 7245.

New project - farmer spec Land Rover Defender 90
Blake's Den replied to Blake's Den's topic in AutoShite
It's a random one that I got off FB marketplace. The closest I can think is this: https://www.therange.co.uk/outdoor-living/gazebos-parasols-and-awnings/gazebos/luxury-gazebos/3-x-6m-heavy-duty-carport-garage-shelter/#9293736 I'm very happy with it. It has been up a year and hasn't blown away yet. I've got it bolted to concrete on one side and on the other I've got a couple of steel wire guy ropes tied to heavy things. The defender just goes under it height wise but I do have it offers so I'm not driving under the highest point. I reckon that the frame would snap first before it blows away. -
New project - farmer spec Land Rover Defender 90

Not much to report on the Land Rover other than its running well and doing what it does well. I used it the other day along with my trailer and winch (see above) to collect yet another project....this time a Ford 3000 tractor that hasn't run in years. -
My latest acquisition.....a Ford 300 pre-force. Complete with patina(!) and only three tyres. It does have a separate front end loader that I'll be fitting.

A terrible capture from my dash cam: The video from my dashcam. I've slowed it to half speed, the Oltcit is in the left hand lane coming up the hill.

Hi @dollywobbler Do you know if there are many red UK registered oltcits in the UK? I just saw one! a quick Google image search throws up your old one which had been on fire. Interestingly the DVLA vehicle check shows it as MoT'd and taxed which is amazing given the state that it was in. I may have caught it on my dashcam, stand by for a poor image of it.

Firstly I need to state that this isn't my car but I have been asked to get it into a running state. So, whats the story? This is my brother in laws car. He was using it as his daily driver but it was costing him a lot to run so he just parked it up and bought something cheap. That was 15 years ago! It has survived quite well considering no preperation was done prior to parking it up. All four tyres were flat and badly perished, there were two trees grwoing through the back bumper (!) and it looks like a mouse had been living in the airbox. Attempts to get in running on site identifed that the fuel pump wasn't working so I winched it onto my trailer and dragged it home with the Defender. After eventually finding the fuel pump I ended up bodging in a spare pump that I had from my Santa Fe. This worked great, so much so that I had fuel pouring out under the car! A quick investigation found a damaged fuel line which I quickly bypassed. Once there was fuel at the engine it fired up straight away. All is not well though. There is a really loud tappety noise coming from what I think is the left bank of cylinders. I haven't investigated this further yet but I'm hoping that it is just a stuck valve or a dodgy hydraulic tappet. The car is in surprisingly good condition with minimal rust underneath. The sills are solid and even the interior has held up OK. I don't think that it will take much to get this back on the road if the engine problems are nothing major. It is my understanding that these ABC Audi engines are fairly robust. Here is the video of the car. Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe etc.

I remember those Sapphire Cosworths from back in the day! Back when ram raids and joy riding was very common.

In sort of Land Rover related news.......I've been fitting a Warn M6000 winch to my trailer. I picked up the winch from a local auction and it came with a very rusty Defender winch bumper. I trimmed this down and used it to mount the winch to the trailer. I was really pleased with how it worked out. Here is the video of the install I tested this out by winching the Santa Fe on. Despite a week battery it did the job really well: So why did I do this? Well it will allow me to pick up other projects cars more easily. And this is exactly what I did today . A full update and reveal will be coming soon...... -
Subaru surgery, back under the knife - Fuel filler fun......

Yeah, Subaru rust. I've been there before, twice! The last time resulted in me utilising an Arnold Clark we'll by any car thing to get rid of it. -
A mini Mini update (see what I did there?!) I had my Rover Mini Cooper MPI in for its MoT today. It passed with no problems. I was shocked to find that I had only done 200 or so miles in it in the last 12 months 😒. I must try harder this year. Also, I made an quick video update on Project Designer (my 1989 Designer special edition). The update is pretty much there is no update! But I decided to do the video as there has been quite an influx of new subscribers to my channel and many of them don't know about this project. Also, people keep asking me when it will be finished 😀
