  1. It’s a 1.0 mpi, so 75 bhp non turbo. I think I was a bit harsh; it’s putting the kms away with no issues and sits steadily, albeit noisily, at 130 km/h on private roads. Even saw 140 at one stage!
  2. Currently in Poland and has this as a rental. Complete poverty spec 1.0 3 cylinder. 545 km done and still I’m still in one piece though..for now:
  3. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1689623 A 1.6 106, bet this goes well
  4. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1697783 Early 3.0 manual S type. There's something very appealing about an early example
  5. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1707269 Have we had this? A 3 door 214; a bit spenny at £3.5k mind
  6. Bit of a milestone in this today
  7. A very nice 3 door 5n Polo with rare undented valance! Vatican diplomatic plates
  8. Diplomatic 5n Polo from the Vatican in Rome!
  9. Come to Rome to see the sights:
  10. Decided to invite my dad along to this in the end. Ferry Dublin to Holyhead for him, two hours to me in Crewe, spend the night, and then another two hours to the show the following morning. Regular car ticket but something half interesting at least, a 180k mile Boxster S:
  11. Last year I was in Wales for two months, again for work, and brought this over, which was great fun, but I don't think I'll be able to this year so will just go with a normal car ticket. Cheers chaps for the advice, will get a ticket bought tomorrow I think.
  12. Evening all, FOTU has always interested me but I've never been able to attend, mainly because getting there and back to Ireland in one day is a huge faff. This summer however I'll be working in the in Crewe and so want to make the effort to attend. I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to attend however (work commitments) and I won't know until much closer to the date, so my question is: would I be leaving it too late if I were to buy a ticket around the beginning of July? Or should I just buy one now and take the potential loss should I not be able to attend? Thanks!
  13. https://www.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/p-x-considered-retro-1982-ford-transit-mk2/35358699 I definitely don't hate this

  15. https://www.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/1955-standard-8/36165577?modal=gallery Nice looking standard 8 in Northern Ireland, €2850 so about £2.5k obligatory "omg no boot lid" comment
  16. Not for the time being but I’m always on the look out..
  17. Thread revival! The garage has been whittled down to one lonesome Micra. I’ve had this for nearly 6 months now, and have done about 2k miles in that time (now on 61k). I thought about selling it during the week and even had a very good offer on it, but in the end I decided to keep it. It costs practically nothing to keep it taxed and insured for the year, so why bother getting rid? I enjoy jumping into it whenever I need to too. So it’s here to stay:
  18. Northern Ireland? You've saved that sweet Sierra from a dark future:
  19. Mk1 Kia Sportage in Rome with a bonus, rival Mk1 RAV4 across the road the Kia was in good company too:
  20. A few from a quick trip to Dublin this week. Particularly pleased with the Fiat
  21. It’s good and I was glad to hear that your mother seemed to respond well to the thought of returning home; I would nurture that, for her good and yours. For as long as ordinary treatment and care is not simply prolonging the dying process, a patient is both entitled and obligated to live. On a personal level, I would resolve to talk of obligation and sin as an absolute last resort. Try to focus instead on the gifts she has in her life; children who obviously care very much for her, her home, and wherever else you might know that will help to lift her spirits. If I can be of any assistance at all please just shout. All the best
  22. Apologies, Wibble, that I’m just seeing this now. I didn’t have a chance this weekend to come for a lurk where I would have read this sooner. Be assured of prayerful solidarity from my end. Glad to hear that your mother is making some progress today.
  23. The Holy Father prefers a much more humble Fiat 500X in a fetching shade of doom blue two of these will eventually permanently replace a 98 t4 minibus belonging to a college. Two of them are about half the price of a new Transporter bus apparently!
