  1. A smooth 6 cylinder low mileage barge with functioning LPG. This really appeals to me but I think I'd be in real trouble if I bought it.
  2. I mean fair enough if you need urgent practical transport and you're in a bit of a pickle...but to say you've taken out a loan for a £1300 bike....I smell shite. Bullshit tactics to make @DodgyBastard feel guilty, when he's been completely honest with him. Fair play to you for giving him an extra £200. That's pretty bloody generous tbh!
  3. I mean he could have probably just unfriended you and you wouldn't have noticed for weeks.... but oh no, he just had to make a point of it. Buy him build-a-bear vouchers or something equally shite for his wedding gift!
  4. The great Scottish summer. You'd think it was middle of autumn tonight. Rain and the wind is bloody howling 😐
  5. All our neighbours have fancy stickers on their bins with numbers....I used an old can of spray paint. When I moved in (new estate) the council kept on delivering sets of wheelie bins to my house . I'd come home after work to find another 4 bins outside my front door. I had 16 bins at one point 🤣. I gave most of them away but I kept an extra set. They are very handy in the shed for storing crap!
  6. @JJ0063 I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your dad. You should be proud of what you did for him - looking after him when he fell on hard times with his condition. If only this world had a few more selfless good folk like yourself. As said by @High Jetter It's never to late to get some help if you want it man.
  7. Now you're talking. The PC release of Vice City in 2003 was "peak" gaming for me. 16 year old me wasted months (and I mean months!) of my time playing it on PC and importing new skins, tweaking setups on the cars. The Esperanto was always my favourite due to its boat handling. Although I think it's braking was terrible? @sierramanThe admiral/fake W123 was deffers AS material. I mean just look at those Halfords wheel trims:
  8. Rollin Coal*...... *Fucked.
  9. Only thing I've found by the road was this spark plug thing outside my house. ...probably used to shiv someone 😂
  10. I had a nice conversation this morning with a chap who has agreed to buy the 1100 and has sent me a deposit to hold. He intends to pick it up in a couple of weeks once his Iveco Beavertail is back from the menders....I think he belongs on here! Plans are to use it in his upcoming retirement to go to shows and wee jaunts. He has a small workshop that he'll store it alongside a Morris Minor he is restoring. Sounds like it's going to the ideal person. ...will give it 10 minutes before sellers remorse kicks in!

  12. Reminds me of this scene from Madmen. Only more swearing, spare tyres and less clothing. Link Anyone caught littering should be sentenced to a months hard labour picking peanuts out of turds at the local sewage works. Absolute scum.
  13. It's widdled, it's just happy to see you!
  14. Insurance renewal is up £80 from last year. £382. I was annoyed. But even more so that I've looked at a million places and I can't get it any cheaper. Nobody else gets anywhere close! £566 is the best so far.
  15. Winter 2017 - Citroen C4 cacked-arse. A Snowy A82. Roundabout at the Crianlarich bypass. Me and a colleague heading for the Mull ferry at Oban. In front of me a van on the roundabout is across my path spinning it's wheels struggling to get around. So I'm stopped waiting. I look in my rearview mirror. Behind me there appears to be an 18ton rigid doing it's best Bambi on ice impression. It was all-over the shop clearly making an effort to brake but not being entirely successful . I'm trapped, I'm at a standstill. No momentum. I've no time to get out of the situation. I screamed at my colleague who was in the passenger seat to brace himself (more like "fucking hell mate, that cunt behind is goan tae slam intae us!!") In what seemed like slow motion it managed to straighten up and dive right to end up going down the wrong way around the roundabout. Close escape. The rear seats were folded down and the back of the car was overflowing with equipment and tools including a UPS, laptops, network switches, telescopic ladders and my toolbox. I shiver at the thought of it being catapulted towards us. Another one: Spring-ish 2014 - Renault Laguna 2. A83 just past Tarbert. I'm doing 60mph when an idiot in a CRV (?) turns right, out from a driveway on the left hand side, crossing my path. They would have barely just about had time to make it, if not for the fact they panicked and stopped blocking most of the road. I slammed on the brakes and dived right. Left wheels on the road. Right wheels on the grassy verge. How I didn't become a cropper I don't know. Not talent or skill (I have neither) but sheer luck the verge had no dips or boulders to bounce me straight into the trees. I had to pull over at the next field entrance to compose myself for 10 minutes as my teeth were chattering from the adrenaline.
  16. I like it...I'm not sure why yet..but I like it!
  17. Cheers 👍. Works been crazy and to be honest I was fed up looking at it so I rolled it to the back of the garage and threw a (cat piss?) tarp over it to give it time to sit in the corner in the dark and think about why it's being a bastard. I'm going to dig a little deeper again at the weekend. I suspect it's running a uprated coil.
  18. Sometimes I wonder! I've tried on here to keep it in the fold but haven't had much interest so eBay it is (although so far mostly all I've had is complete time wasters). I've still been driving it whilst the Toledo is in bits at the back of the garage. Smoll car:
  19. I hate electrics. Trying to install a new starter in the Toledo as I didn't trust the old one. It was always sticking. I've hooked the black cable to the battery connection on the starter as it's the main 12v feed. I've hooked the starter ignition feed (white/red cable) to the starter. If I stick the multimeter on the starter feed and try to start I'm getting 11.2v. I also have another red cable but I've no idea what it does is it a bypass? Old starter wiring New starter (yeah I know the spades are terrible, I will replace them) With only the black cable and white/red hooked up and connected it was spinning at first for 3 quick goes to test and now it isn't. Red cable seems to do nowt as no power going to it with the ignition on / on and trying to start. Unless it's a ballast feed or something? I've tried hooking it up separately to the other cables via crocodile clips and no difference. I can bypass the ignition feed by directly connecting the starters ignition connection to the battery and it will spin again freely. If I then turn the ignition on with the key (to wake up the coil), and pull the choke out the car will start instantly with my bypass. Nae bother. So the new starter is good, my battery is good. So I have a wiring issue. The thing I dislike the most is wiring. I'm assuming 11.2v must be the source off my problems? 11v isn't enough go go juice to power the feed to the starter? Possibly degraded cabling or resistance? Or a relay? Or I'm doing it wrong 😂? Is the red cable a red herring? Fuck knows. Its eleventy million degrees outside. The sun feels like a laser on my back. So I am warm and frustrated. Now about to see if I can trace cables as I have no idea if this thing has a relay somewhere, wiring isn't 100% factory.
  20. Some amazing work going on there Si. Your workmanship and work rate put me to shame!
  21. Radiator has gave up the ghost on the Toledo: On the brightside at least it will make it easier to get the starter out....
  22. Yup. The average driver in the USA does twice the miles of a UK driver in his car that typically has worse fuel consumption so it stings just as much as it does here when prices climb.
  23. I left my car keys in the ignition once on the Friday after work. I was staying in a flat in Govan at the time so it was a fucking miracle it was still there come the Monday morning. Not repeated since!
