Went from £424 last year to £690 this year.
Esure is still the cheapest, 3 years running. But I had to open a new policy to get this price; the renewal price was £780. 
I thought they weren't allowed to do this on renewal. 
Fucking joke. There's bound to be an element of profiteering here. I accept there's been inflation, increased parts and scamming but it's going to be like the energy crises, they'll be making money on this.

Genuinely, short of living in the Highlands, this is as much snow as we've had since the fabled beast from the east. 
It's been snowing constantly since about 12 hours in Huddersfield. 
There must be about 3-4 inches of the stuff now. I was out earlier in the Jimny in Golcar. It's going to be kaos in the morning. Already seen a Honda Jazz that binned it, taking out two parked cars here. 
Kirklees council have the snow ploughs out, but the local first bus was stuck on Manchester road for a while. 
Tomorrow is going to be fun. The Jimny is very sure footed in 4wd, it's like a different car when it's in 2wd in the snow, where it's a bit twitchy and tail happy. 
Either way, roll on the journey to work tomorrow! 

The big Audi 100. 2.2 5 pot, K-jetronic. Drives with lots of waft, not much haste, sounds nice. Currently hibernating from the salty roads but I'll take it for a drive tomorrow I think.

Why does it rain on me. My Noco Genius charger is fubar. It's got another 6 months warranty so we'll see what they're like for warranty support. 
Wonder if they've a local Warranty place or do I've to post the effing thing to the US of A. 

Just binned about £150 worth of dry stores, condiments, herbs etc from the cupboard as we got bloody pantry moths in it. Utter basterdz. I was on a mission to eradicate them by the end armed with two cans of cockroach spray from the corner shop. 
0/10, would not recommend. 

Blingos are amazing. Should have bought another one. Second getting the HDi, usefully powerful and torquey. The NA ones need a bit of winding up to get going but the HDi is good to go.

Seen one of these today, couldn't remember ever seeing one before. Mustn't be a massive seller. Looked like a Golf/Focus sized crossover. A Bayon. Whatever that means.

Today I had been mostly fucking around with a mates NCT failure 2008 Toyota Avensis. 
He's a total numbnuts when it comes to cars.
This got a Fail dangerous on it's test,and mate rang me up,"did they put a sticker on the windscreen?" I asked,No came the reply can I drive it up yours?
Half an hour later he turns up........

It bust a brake hard line at the rear during the test,plus rusty rear suspension arms split CV boot and a few bulbs.
I repaired the hard line then sent him on his way.
Today it got a new cv boot fitted,plus the lower balljoint cover split as I was taking off the front hub🙄

Then on to the rear arms.
These are surprisingly cheap new.

New rear tracking bar was needed too,plus a rear spring.

Old one was disintegrating. 

Rear arms definitely had seen better days.

Of course a bolt had to be seized and break off in the bushing,had to cut through the other side with the grinder,what fun!

Lots of rust flakes from inside the arms.


New spring,suspension arm and brake line repair.

Glad that's over,hopefully it will pass now.🙄

I think he's brilliant. His autism is possibly the reason some people are unsure of him (not saying that's the case with you) and he's a proper champion for wildlife/animal causes. The fact he gets up the noses of the inbred fox hunting twats is the icing on the cake.
