  1. I found the anomaly. Doesn't look too out of place, though...
  2. I'll put a strong "would not recommend" in that box. Shorter footwell in the passenger side puts your legs in a funny place. Non-adjustable steering wheel means you can't move around in the driver's side. I have tried... In fact I'm so anti-MX5-sleepage I'm bringing a 50 year old Land Rover for (get this) more comfort!
  3. Top deck overhangs the unit, for an extra car. 4 upper, 3 middle, 2 lower - as long as you have a flat top unit.
  4. That definitely tickles my industrial equipment pickle. Sounds good enough in the video, but like all these old things, I bet it makes a noise that would raise hell when you start letting some amps through it.
  5. Seems to be a distinctly "2000s Mazda" character trait this. When their cars were so good to drive, why did they insist on making one of the most important bits ruin the fun?
  6. I bet you could chuck it at someone else and they'd never notice. For example, I've booked in with the P6's reg number, but may end up taking the Series up if the P6 is in bits. The ticket is paid for, surely nobody on the gate is going to pick a fight over what car that ticket arrives in so long as it's the correct age for moddun/classik parking.
  7. Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Unfortunately I've just gone out to jack up the front end and discovered my jack is too tall to reach under the sills to the jacking point. That's that plan fucked then.
  8. I have a sticky caliper somewhere on the Mazda yet again - just a few months after begrudgingly paying for the calipers to be changed. None of them are getting significantly hotter than the rest, and the problem seems to clear after a few miles.... but in stop-start traffic I can definitely feel something dragging as the car doesn't roll on like it should - it pulls up to a definite stop. I don't really have time to be working on cars at the moment as my end-of-year exams start in 2 weeks and I should be spending my time preparing for them, but it looks like I'll have to compromise. Why can't these things just happen when I've got a little free time?! 🤬
  9. Make it a seventh vote to keep the Disco. The RR is a nicer car for sure, but the Disco is the one that you'll say "I shouldn't have sold that one" when they're commanding 20 grand for a really good one in a few years' time...
  10. Seats look great. It's amazing how well some of these restoration/colouring products work, the results are really impressive when used correctly. Don't wear light trousers in them for a while though... just in case!
  11. What was the "main event" here? These and the Saxos are normally support races for some form of headliner - or was it just a mixed club meet?
  12. Good lord man, are you alright!?
  13. Thankfully, there are precisely zero interesting things in Berkshire, so there's absolutely no reason to drive through it other than to get out the other side to Oxfordshire.
  14. Ok, I've just measured them up and it turns out I'm aboslutely, categorically wrong (as usual). Bloody optics, innit. Yellow triangle = Blue Triangle. Orange triangle = Green Triangle (not chocolate). I do love proving myself an idiot on a public forum.
  15. 21 years I've been on this godforsaken planet and this is the first time I've notice the 2 chevrons have completely different angles. Mind = blown.
  16. Surrey. Hampshire. Fucking hell man, sort your roads out. I've seen Argentinian* runways smoother than the tarmac around some of your most affluent areas... no wonder the residents all drive Range Rooneys, I really did worry about breaking my car on some of the potholes and that's strong coming from a Sussex resident!
  17. Ouch for not-quite-a-fire, but nice air forces.
  18. Oh fuck, ouch I have a gallon of petrol in the shed going spare if you're interested.
  19. V2 4ERO on a Saab 9-5 Aero. Of course.
