  1. The Saab has gone to make way for my new winter whip. But can you guess what it is?
  2. £2,691 by someone who didn't really understand what they were getting into. After a feeble attempt at fixing it up, the seller will try to sell it on unfinished, claiming to "have other projects" and "not have time".
  3. You weren't miles out at all - £3,650.
  4. A modified Wrangler parked on a weed lawn with few pictures, a poorly written description, and no reserve. The car is shite, but will the price be? jeep wrangler 4.0 petrol/lpg 4 inch lifk kit 3 inch body lift 33x12inch tyre | eBay
  5. Indeed, nobody wanted the wedge! You're this weeks winner with a precisely accurate guess of 0 bids.
  6. They'd be told to fuck right off by both.
  7. Really Retro show in Stafford on Sunday with the DeLorean Owners Club.
  8. I like the intention behind the plates, but I think the size is intrusive.
  9. An alternative money pit for those who lost out on the Starion? TVR 280i TASMIN COUPE WEDGE 1981 55,000 MILES PROJECT (barn find) VERY RARE | eBay
  10. It's already at £560 with 2 and a half days to go. Are people insane? That's double what it will bridge for, and it will never see the road again. Not a chance. It's not even complete, and the parts left look rough as a badger's arse. £800 by someone that needs their head checked.
  11. These are desirable for some reason, but it's still a shitbox in my eyes, so it gets a low-ball estimate from me: £985.
  12. Turbo. Original. Low Owner. Bet it will go for strong money. £5k.
  13. None of my cars have working AC. Saab: alarm goes off randomly when locked using central locking, so I just lock doors manually. Persistent EGR engine management light - I just clear it for the MoT. Gear stick can be put in reverse when moving forward. Ford LTD: Can't move the cabin heater all the way to hot as it causes a vacuum leak behind the dash. Clock doesn't work. Cracked windscreen (doesn't affect visibility). DeLorean: one speaker doesn't work. Gear selector doesn't align with reverse properly. Knob for selecting vent direction a bit broken and falls off regularly.
  14. Auction will finish with no bids!
  15. I reckon two and a half bags would be more realistic for something like this, and that's assuming it's road worthy. There's no mention of MoT, which is quite telling. The reg number doesn't return any matches on the .gov website either.
  16. Definitely low attendance numbers this time. Completely cleared the place of chavs though, so it's not all bad.
  17. You get a drink with entry, but I wouldn't call it "free" having just handed over £5 for it.
  18. Mavericks last night. I'd love to add that Fifth Avenue to my fleet.
  19. Pulled the old door seals out of the DeLorean, removed the old adhesive and cut the the replacements to shape/length. I used duct tape to hold the outer seals in place while the adhesive set. The inner seals just push on and seat with a mallet. All went great until I tried to close the door...and couldn't. Many door slams and much lubricant later, the doors are now usable, but it's taken two weeks to settle in to that point. The doors still need a very deliberate shove to close properly. I hope they get better, but I fished the originals back out of the bin just in case. Took the Ford to Mavericks car meet on Tuesday evening and kept getting whiffs of raw fuel when I had the window down. The car only does 15 miles to the gallon, so I really can't afford to be dropping any! Got it up on ramps and found the fuel return line was leaking just above the pump. Luckily the split was right at the end and I had enough slack to just trim it off and re-fit. I've brought the off-cut indoors with me to figure out what internal diameter I need to replace the whole section. Also noticed the car wandering around at speed, needing small but frequent steering corrections. I started tugging steering components while I was under there to see if any of them would confess. The idler arm had loads of play where a chunk of the bushing had fallen out. Rusty parts always put up a fight, but it wasn't a bad job; 30-40 minutes. Should have painted the area while I had it out, but it was Friday evening after work and I just couldn't be arsed.
  20. Chin up, you've made progress. The battery holding full voltage, being able to start the car, run electrical accessories, and still be in a good state of charge afterward suggest that it's fine. The voltage readings taken at the battery during running definitely show it's not being charged. If you're getting charge voltage at the alternator, then the problem must be in between the alternator and battery. Maybe inspect connections and use your multi-meter to test cables for continuity next?
