Am I right in thinking those roof racks were actually structural to the car? Plus what the fuck are you shifting that can't fit inside?!

I got my plates from ProPlates. They didn’t want any documentation sending over and the plates include the BSAU mark at the bottom.

Bonus was, because I’m an absolute bore, I could have it say Toyota at the bottom. Think they were £27 pound a pair delivered. As a Brucie Bonus there was a couple of tiny little air bubbles on the rear plate so they sent me that and a perfect one, so I got a plate for my cycle rack too.

If this hasn’t been collected by the end of the day I’ll be very very disappointed.

A few more exciting highlights from the last few months spottery. With commentary because I'm funny*

Some kind of giant Yank hurse, spotted just down the road from Mutha_Stanky's house. I'm fairly sure it moves under its own power

Autobianchi A110? Fiat 500 commercial? It had vast positive camber on the rear wheels, like 45 degrees to the road sort of camber.

Spotted this on the way to work one morning, Unipart liveried Marina coupe with a fruity exhaust note. I've not seen it before or since, much to my disappointment. Its a visual treat!

Coronavirus daily exercise spottage here. A subaru SVX. Its been local as long as I've lived here, it used to live on the estate of bungalows we lived in, now its migrated a couple of miles to the other side of the village.

Another Coronavirus spottage. I think this might be as Humber Snipe? its stripped out inside, but all windows present and correct so not sure if its destined for the oval or not?

I papped this honey* in 2014, its not moved since. It may well have been here since the late 90s?

I saw this today, is this 600 not a late registration madness contender? I was fairly sure that the 75 had been out a year or two already by the time the V reg plate came out? its mega tidy.

The polar opposite here, a Jeep Wrangler returning to nature alarmingly swiftly. I'd still quite like one of these, on paper it sounds pretty fun, 4 litre engine, quite light, 4wd, easy to maintain? I suspect the reality is they are thirsty, slow and chronically rusty everywhere?

Finally, some local herbert exited the community centre carpark rather to swiftly, and rather too tightly, clipped the kerb and rolled their transit van. I arrived shortly after it happened and had a bit of a lol to myself. I think they ended up employing a local Geoff Capes type to push it back upright and then drove off before the rozzers arrived?
    Anyway, thanks for tuning in.

Well guys 5 years of running this daily took its toll some bubbles were popping up so it was time for a refresh so I went mad with the grinder and a 1mm cutting disk, I've replaced the rear inner and outer arches, sill backs, strengthened and up behind the sill, repaired the 2 front wings on the leading edge under the bumper and under the trim where ford decided it was a good idea to leave a hole and they rusted and a couple more localised repairs on the rear panel and roof, I hadnt ground the welds on the repairs flush on the primer pictures, I got it back on Tuesday after building it back up, I put a new sunroof seal on and had the windscreen replaced at the same time

The lines of the DS still look amazing. Imagine rubber stamping the design in the first place. You'd have needed some serious balls as the reception from the public was always going to go one way or the other.
I don't think it'll ever 'age' as such,  with it being so different to its contemporaries.

Hello, just signed up today and thought I'd introduce myself.  Only just discovered the forum via a link on Pistonheads, and was immediately hooked!
Late to the world of cars I've only had boring and mundane modern motors for the last ten years or so, my oldest being a fantastic Mazda Tribute, but even that was a '52 plate.  My current tin shit is a '99 Ford Cougar, acquired from my father in law after failing it's MOT.  It was made good and used in a banger rally to Monte Carlo last year where I fell in love with the thing and convinced the missus that we needed a large, impractical unloved Ford.
Ever since I've been acquiring parts and learning what a 'spanner' is in anticipation of much needed fettling to keep it sound.

Personally I’d be putting the original wheels straight back on and getting £££cashback by flogging those split rims and enjoying some usable steering.

We have things up here called hotels..
In exchange for groats one can not sleep on an uncomfortable bed before arising to a disappointing breakfast and an unrelentingly grey sky.
