  1. That's the thing, realistically I'm not gonna fix it. I enjoy driving cars and picking them up but I'm fucking shite at fixing them. It's at the garage now which is the best place for it Corrosion OSF brake pipe OSR brake pipe OSF wheel bearing Exhaust weld up Brakes to go over NSF shaft or CV joint 4x tyres as well
  2. I think there's a saveable car in there somewhere, it's more about whether it's financially prudent to fix or not. Engine seemed fine. @Jimbob McGregorchanged the vee belt and the alternator quietened down. It's ULEZ compliant in Glasgow, it's a genuine 70mpg, it's interesting and it's cheap to insure as a classic. I enjoy the adventure, the uncertainty and the misery a fair bit as well honestly.
  3. The 106 has been up on the ramp and it's bad news. Details to follow Stay tuned for bonus French misery
  4. My white chariot on the way home. The 205 drives beautifully. The 1.4 feels asthmatic compared to a fettled 1.8. The 106 feels a lot tighter, ride is very different.
  5. Home at 440am. Woke up at 840am. Feel like I've been drinking for 2 days and like someone has shit in my mouth. ROUGH
  6. I forgot to mention the caravan incident. We pull the convoy into a petrol station and there's a guy in a V70 towing a caravan at near enough midnight. He spends 5 mins fucking about with the caravan, detaching it, locking himself outside, reattaching it etc. We don't make much of It until @loserone overhears that he's driven the caravan into one of the pumps. We're push starting the 106 because of the low battery and missing aux belt and he expresses an interest by slurring his words and failing to balance on two feet. We drive away and dial it into 999 as he's very, very drunk.
  7. I'm still 2hrs drive from home now in the courtesy 205. Some incredible fog in the Pennines so was crawling at 30mph most of the last 90mins. Some other pics from today
  8. I'm in no way sour so far. Not frustrated or angry. Had a good day and a good adventure. Far less stressful than an illegal trailer on a struggling 30mph Rexton.
  9. Off for a nice wander whilst it's still bright. Nice place to kill some time waiting for the A-frame team
  10. It is indeed Hereford but I broke down north of Lancaster. I made it 170 miles towards home.
  11. In better news, this brings my score down to a 50% Peugeot head gasket failure rate
  12. Who could've possibly forseen this!? Still having a good day so far. Spirits not dampened yet.
  13. More in depth analysis to follow once it's back and on a lift. It will be getting bettererised by a professional I reckon.
  14. Could be a lot worse tbh. Car hasn't terminally shit itself yet. It's not dark, the weather's good and i have friends to rescue me
  15. Naughty bastard. FTP confirmed. Now looking for a good spot to be A framed. Beautiful town to break down in
  16. We have imminent FTP! I'm at the services on the M6. Driveshaft (i think) sounds fucking horrific. The alternator sounds like it's gonna die too. Rescue plan being formulated with shiter assistance
  17. 2min review: Gearchange TIGHT AS FUCK Aux belt noisy as fuck Tyres DANGEROUSLY old Wish me luck gents.
