    FOR A QUIET LIFE CALL...
Bevendean Hospital!  Bevendean truly is Great Britain's most relaxing hospital!  There's pan pipes on hospital radio, rubber soles on the nurses' shoes and all the Valium you can swallow.  Simply dial 999 (five lines) now to be picked up in one of our soothing, softly sprung ambulances.   We don't have labour wards, paediatrics, geriatrics or accident and emergency but we do have soft towels, fluffy pillows and all manner of sedatives.  Our catering staff are on hand to provide meals; they really put the Zen in frozen food!  Call Bevendean Hospital now for the quiet life you deserve.

GM H-body; Chevrolet Monza, Buick Skyhawk, Oldsmobile Starfire or Pontiac Sunbird from 1975-1980.  The squared-off chrome edge on the rear side window is unusual.

    Yes.
I had already searched GM H body cars, but a bit more hunting this morning revealed a variant of the Buick Skyhawk called a "Skyhawk Road Hawk" has that vertical cut rear window. Strangely none of the pictures I have looked at have chrome window surrounds so maybe some of the black had peeled so the owner took the rest off like I did with my MG ZT-T sill trims.

There are a few topics of conversation which it is generally wise to steer clear of on Autoshite.  New POD's marriage is on that list.

Wonderful.  I owned one of these 15 years ago.  They are deceptively rapid.  Briefly donning my anorak, I can see rear head restraints which means yours is an ‘87 model year.

Ah, that's miles away. However I'm in Slough at the minute so could pick it up on my way home but sadly doubt I could fit it in the Mazda, even if it folds like my mums shopper did.
I've probably mentioned it before but Des Lynam used to live in East Preston. A mate of mine used to live down Golden Avenue near him. One day, we'd all been picking tomatoes from 6am (piece rate, great wages for 3-4hrs a day) and had then all headed to Daves after work to get pissed at about 10am.
At some point someone sees Des riding a brown fold up shopper bike with a basket at the front past the house. Everyone leans out the window and starts shouting 'DESSSSSSEYYYY! DESSSSEEEEY'.
Des just raised his arm, gave a little wave and said 'Ello there boys' which was FUCKING COOL AS FUCK!
Anyhow, I've gone off on a right fucking tangent there haven't I. Christ. Probably enough booze for tonight.

    Buyer warning:
If the A-Team theme tune should play at any point while driving this vehicle, it will gravitate towards pipe ramps the bushes. Upon hitting the pipe ramp bushes the vehicle will proceed to fly through the air and will always land upside down. Miraculously all the occupants will be unharmed but should they crawl out and run away from the vehicle, it will spontaneously combust into a burst of pyrotechnics flames the explosion from which will cause you to dive be thrown through the air over the nearest camera undergrowth to land on a pile of exercise mats brambles

Jesus wept. Is this what happens in the bright new future?
I ran over my headphone cable the other day. Should there be a crowdfunder? Should my audience be all chucking a few bob in to fund the accident?
Fucking Nora. Ian has my every sympathy - genuinely - but this is so peculiar. It’s not a charity, he’s a businessman. It’s one thing saying “I’ve got the bits here, I’d like to help” and something completely different to subsidise it.
Sorry. Just how I feel. I suspect it’s just me.

Really pleased to see this, as I owned this Cavalier for a few months in 2007 (I did a double-take when seeing the registration on the Hubnut video).  Bought for £100 from the 97 year old original owner to save it from being scrapped, I put a pair of front wings on it (paint match looks better than I remember so maybe they’ve been done again!) and had the inners welded up.
Of the 30-odd cars I’ve owned I think this is the only one that survives (it’s possible the ‘78 Opel Rekord I sold to a guy in Belfast still lives too), which I never would have put money on at the time.

It was very nice and looked like it was in pretty decent condition. It's brilliant to know the backstory about this.  Great work in saving it from being scrapped.
