This Matchbox Renault Kangoo dropped onto the mat this morning.
Took it down to Smoll Eddy's fuel emporium for a top up.

    You like it Smoll Eddy?

Or a shit, just drop your keks and give everyone a full moon through the rear window. Its not even a high roof so good luck standing up afterwards, you'll have to 'fall forwards' and crawl away off the friggin Frank Zappa FFS

This looks literally 50x less appealing than clamping my knackers in a 'Breville' toastie maker then turning it on and listening to Ed Sheeran's 'Galway Girl' on repeat as it warms up

This is cool. I've not seen one of these for years. I've not seen one of these that wasn't hanging for decades

On my long, uncomfortable trips to Germany and back in my boss's 7.5 tonne Eurocargo, we would sometimes have to park in a residential area and weren't entirely sure if it was permissible to do so. To try and avoid it getting towed away, he used to release all the air out of the brakes so it would have to be running or have air connected from elsewhere to move it.
I only drove it once around the industrial estate, for some reason he preferred to pilot it everywhere despite me having a 7.5 tonne license (cos I'm old), so I was stuck on the co-pilot's seat for many miserable hours. You just can't get to sleep in one of these no matter how you try and contort yourself

I've been idly trying to work out whereabouts in the vicinity of Ludlow you are Catsin. I sort of recognise where your car is but can't quite place it.

Unbelievably tough in my experience. I remember when my old Omega shat its belt tensioner leaving me with no charge, water circulation or power steering in rush hour Kidderminster. I limped to the nearest garage and the bloke in charge sorted me a lift back to Ludlow with his dad's car transporter.
Said transporter turned out to be an early 90s Transit (the Amoeba absolutely dwarfed it), even the garage boss looked a bit dubious (the road between Kiddy and Ludlow is viciously hilly, especially on the dark side of Clee Hill, but it did the job without issue.

Quite envious of your buy! I'm currently balls deep into a (hopefully) limited resto. However it's already taken £500 to sort the front axle and I'm heading towards a new chassis.

They are lovely things at low speed, although I do have an overdrive and later 12j engine.

Precisely what I was going to say.

Back in 2005 when I got my licence, I spent that summer driving around in my dad's SIII. It was a farm workhorse, 88 with a safari rear door. It was that classic blue/grey colour with cream roof and wheels.
It didn't have a straight panel on it, and the steering was vague at best. I remember putting my whole body weight on the brake pedal and actually lifting myself off the seat in order to pull up from anything faster than about 30mph. The top half of the doors would rattle around so much you could see glimpses of daylight between the windscreen frame and the door. If it rained, your knee just got wet. So short geared that I never used the (non-synchro) first and just pulled away in 2nd. I could keep it in 4th all the way down to about 20mph and still pull away again cleanly. I also remember the gearbox almost drowned out the engine in that one. It had a good reversing light, though; a massive tractor-spec work lamp mounted in the top left corner!
I'm looking forward to getting that SI finished at some point. Probably another year or so away yet. The Series Land Rover experience is great fun, but I think the longest journey I ever did in that SIII was about 20 miles each way.

Bargoed Hill. At least 1 in 8, some of it at 1 in 4.25, and with two right angled bends. It feels strange to get a car up there, let alone a bus.
