I quite like Maestro's... I suppose that's why I'm here though and not with the cool kids at VW shows.
Metros are making a bit of comeback so maybe the Maestro's time is coming.

Could just mean they lost the original, I wouldn't read too much into it, just do it!

I'm glad there are other haters of those twin headlights that seem to adorn far too many Bandits, especially the 600's for some reason.
I bought a very cheap 02 plate 600 about 18 months ago, and chucked a few hundred quid at it trying to get it to run right. It didn't so sold it at a breakeven price, but its refusal to run right kept me awake at night trying to figure it out.

So, having failed to get any of my cars MOTd, the only option was to give up and buy something.

Oh yes! A Mitsubishi Delica L400 Space Gear 2800 Turbo Intercooler! That isn't an oil puddle. That's LHM from the GSA... (now fixed).
It's big, ugly, noisy, slow but practical and comfortable. It has already suffered a puncture as it sits. But I'm replacing the tyres this afternoon as they are all cracked and a bit rubbish.
I've known this car and the owner for almost a decade. It dragged the striped BX out of a snow drift in December 2010, I once used it to ferry some friends for a day out in Merseyside and have had the occasional drive since then, during which I thought it would  be nice to own one. My mate has two of them and decided it was time to sell.
He used it for hauling logs around, as a gig wagon all over Europe and for towing heavy things, so I know it's had a pretty hard life. It seems to have survived though. He nabbed the tow bar, so I'm on the hunt for another but it could definitely be useful for hauling my motors around - some of things are far from road ready at the moment (like the 2CV, which I'm going to take to a specialist for rear brakes etc).
I tried to reveal it live on YouTube yesterday, but my phone (a new Huawei P30 Lite) just isn't up to live streaming, so the footage was awful. Then the live stream got interrupted by a bloke looking for his dog...
    Here's a video I then recorded.

Hi bikeshiters, seeing as I made it out for a quite glorious ride yesterday I figured I may as well weigh in on this thread.

This is my ex-police Pan Euro knocking on 90k. Now that the weather might be getting better the prospect of this as a means of transport is looking more appealing. It's taken me on one European trip already which was great, I'd love to do another this summer depending on Brexit/Coronavirus/collapse of society as we know it. I think next time I'll head east, I went south last time.
Anyone else been out enjoying the sunshine?

Cables now roughly in position, I've ordered new trunnions for the gear + clutch cables, and new brake cable clamp/adjusters. I'll finalise the position of the cables once they're all buttoned up and adjusted.

The wiring is pretty much sorted, I just need to tidy up the routing above the rear mudguard once the regulator has been mounted.

Looking forward to getting the bodywork back on at some point!

Got my polishing head on this afternoon, and smartened up the brake and clutch levers. They were a bit of a mess with lots of oxidisation, but cleaned up pretty well.

Finally got my act together and stuck the motor in this evening.

Exhaust went back on before going to the pub.

Cables + wiring up next - should be making a start tomorrow.

Motor now cleaned up ready to go back in - just need to switch the carburettor.

Dived into the big box of new bits from Scootopia, and got a few more pieces fitted. Hopefully be getting the motor back in and cabled up over the weekend.

Anyone fancy a trip a bit closer to Scotland from Swindon with a 205.
@Unclefester is interested in my 205 but struggling with the logistics.
It's got test on it but is currently Sorn.

You might find a Landcruiser Colorado in budget, not as big as a full size 80series etc but you'd never get one of those in budget.
Lwb has plenty enough space and are very capable off road when needed, I used to compete very successfully in one in off road competitions.
The 1kzte has a reputation for blowing head gaskets but it's normally down to owner neglect.
If you want to know any more then feel free to ask.

It will definitely be worth something just maybe not a lot, tidy ones have been climbing in price but the rest have stayed reasonably low.
You'd probably get a 3/4 hundred out of it as a spares/project sale.

So depending on just how bad it is, as soon as a mate has taken the exhaust and luggage it looks like I'm going to be sticking a gearbox in this and running it as a winter hack.

I think it might even be vaguely presentable with a good clean.

Be prepared for every single fastener to be knackered, the brakes seized, the shock dead, the headstock bearings notchy, the radiator to be rotten and so on, I tried to revive an old 1100 once, but 30 year old kawasaki's don't age well, they are great bikes when in good fettle though.

Im going to post this here just because...

Done a couple of short rides on it so far and quite happy with it - not sure if the stator is on the way out or the battery - indicator lights stop winking after a couple  of minutes at idle if you have the headlight on, rev it and they start winking again. Aside from that everything does what its supposed to.

More comfortable than the GT250, about the same speed wise top whack but this takes longer to get there - a bit like a 125 in that respect I suppose - Ive clocked 85 on it and think thats all it has which for commuting is plenty.

£450 with 12 months MOT. Sold the GT for £375 just to get rid really, could have held out for more but Meh.

I really do like this little CB so far. OK so its not a wetdream, but its a nice little bike. With insurance at £50 and a heap of spare parts including a spare (better condition) tank Im pretty pleased with it even if I did have to go 96 miles up a cul de sac to get it.
