  3. I thought the MK2 Escort only used to be built in Dagenham and Cologne Saarlouis so that's probably correct
  4. yeah it had the F O R D lettering instead of the Ford badges, some kind of crest on the key and on the blank in the dash where the fuel/temp gauge go on a rev counter model, an orange oil pressure light and different script on the instrument markings
  5. No external linkages or cables IIRC. just the lever directly into the box
  6. love it. I'd be inclined to bin those red Ford badges too, even though I used to have them on my old Capri and thought they were cool

  8. Good work I can't even be arsed to spend any time on an evening working on the cars at the moment and I don't have any young kids. There were at least 2 different types of pump as you say (sinkers got larger capacity). I also seem to think that the one on the AC version might be different, I definitely seem to remember it mounts somewhere different to the non AC if nothing else
