  1. Here's a gash picture of a Nissan Maxima I saw
  2. Size is around medium I think, something like a 40inch chest. Sort, color etc can roughly be summarised by cheap 😂 ideally something I can wear through winter/spring
  3. Thanks for everyone's advice on the helmet! Just picked one up from sports bike shop and have nothing but good things to say about the service. Tried on loads and obviously got upsold but happy with what I've got! And if anyone else is like me and has an oddly square head, this helmet seems to best fit 😂 Also got gloves and Kevlar jeans so just need to find myself a second hand jacket and I should be good to go
  4. I love inappropriate track cars. Not a V6 but you got me looking at this now: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202207207964391?atmobcid=soc3
  5. Only just discovered this thread. Anyway, I've done my CBT and got myself a 125 to ride around a bit and am starting to look at getting all the safety gear. How the hell are you supposed to work out what's good or not? Most reviews for helmets say things like "good value" or "looks nice" but I want to know it's going to protect my head should the worst happen. Going to get to a shop to try helmets on obviously but looking at an AGV K6, are these any good? What about gloves and jackets? Budgeting about £50 for gloves and probably a second hand jacket. Are the Kevlar jeans any good or should I get leathers? Bit overwhelmed with the choices so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Well given we've only got a few hours left here we go. IN: Green xjr manual. Intend to to restore... Turned out a lot rustier than expected so got another auto xjr off @jmsguzzi. Now converted to manual with the bits from the green car. Bought a V8 Disco off @cpjitservices. Will probably be up for sale next year. Did my CBT earlier this year and recently picked up a cbf125 but no fotos. OUT: First out was my old xj, previously of @Captain Slow. Had been my daily driver last year and was an absolutely fantastic car. Put 6k trouble free miles on it and fell back in love with driving. Went to a lovely Frenchman who has been all over Europe in it Green xjr went off as a spares car to a bloke who, at the time, had 4 of the things . Also at the same time went my old Daimler. This was the longest standing member of the fleet (8 years) but I was never going to get round to fixing it so felt time for it to go. Has gone to a Jag specialist near me. He said he is going to restore it and I sincerely hope he does as it had a lot of sentimental value NON MOVERS: Spaceship Civic diesel. Have put 12k miles on this year and hated most of it lol. Will shift it on if it makes it through winter to drive something more interesting again TVR Chimaera. I love this thing. Barely driven this year. I intend to change that next year. Will probably become my daily
  7. Me three, only the SGS version. Destroyed my back living in a first floor flat having to lift it up and down the stairs
  8. I only found out recently these are proper body on frame when I saw just the chassis and running gear of one for sale on marketplace
  9. In the past I've kept all my classics out over winter. However last year my Trev being fibreglass developed acne. Apparently water can get inside and expend when it freezes causing lots of microbubbles. I rent a garage but the floor feels wet so reluctant to keep anything in it over winter as I can't imagine that'll do underneath any good. Would putting some waterproof membrane laid on too and parking on that help do we think?
  10. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, where abouts is it? Just caught up on your thread, how are you finidng the Insa turbos on the road? Mines a V8 with ACE delete but still on bags. The engine is super smooth but the ride is a little bouncy. My friend has just got a td5 auto on airbags with the ACE and it rides noticably more flat. Both super comfy seats and driving position but I recon the td5 gives more of a true Land Rover experience. Definitely needs a remap though
  11. Will deffo give you a shout if I'm that way! And love the RRC. They're a dream car of mine but suspect the Disco 2 is as close as I'll get to owning one with prices the way they are now sadly
  12. Coventry way but don't mind travelling to find some good lanes. Haven't found anything close by so far
  13. That would be great thanks! Will give you a shout next time I head out!
  14. That looks great! Where about did you go? I'm probably not going to go for anything that extreme with mine. Pretty much just a set of tyres and a bumper for now
  15. After getting a Dizco 2 off here recently I've started to get into green laning. I think there are a few other perverted souls on here with aging Land Rover products who a partial to some mud plugging so thought I'd start a thread for any tip/tricks or green lane recommendations. So far I've only done Ramsden Road with it completely stock and it handled it absolutely fine. If anyone is around the west midlands or south Yorkshire way let me know if you'd be up for going out some time!
  16. I think I'm one of the few people on here that hates their mk8 Civic. Haven't found it any more reliable than anything else tbh and the ride is gash. My usual answer to this is mk4 Astra with the 1.7 diesel although it's harder to find a good one nowadays or 3.0 legacy if mpg isn't an issue
  17. I think I actually like this... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175445479859?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338817149&toolid=10050&customid=DANSWORKAROUND2&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F710-53481-19255-0%2F1
  18. This really is a cracking looking RR in that colour with the green leather, proper understated. My mate is going to miss it but already put a deposit down on a D2 which is getting delivered tomorrow
  19. Could I call first refusal if you eventually move the Jag on please 🙂?
  20. Recently did mine too. First few minutes on the road I reckon I would have take pulled the seat off had I gotten off I was so clenched but soon got used to it and going full throttle where possible 😂
