  1. You are right, of course....... but look at the current MB lineup (granted a bit of duplication and a couple of vans) - beats eighties BL, hands down.
  2. Same registration number ..... same one!
  3. Looks like Batfink has resprayed the Batillac
  4. Shamelessly stolen from one of @PhilA's latest installments on the Pontiac. It's not a competition but Phil wins.
  5. To show my age - Tabetha's mum.
  6. Looks like we have a couple of heroes as neigbours. The big hero is the fella with two Bentleys and the A8L Next door has a proper XJ in a proper colour and there's a P38 next door again. Not seen any of them move or 'not there' - but it's on my work commute so want to think they work shorter hours than me and use them daily on rotation...... ...... or not.
  7. I want to believe that this characterful old heap has the engine and rumning gear of a Renault 5 Gordini Turbo - not just the wheels.
  8. You are somewhat missing the point or being a grand-dad...... my daughter 's given up with me
  9. Never mind that, I've onlybjust worked out it's a lamp post not a chimney / exhaust
  10. Courtesy of @Rust Collectorin @cort16's rather excellent 320si / baby M3 thread.
  11. That's a VVC engined F in a cracking colour - Volcano - less brown more orange. That would be a nice fixerupperer.
  12. If you've gone from full tank to full tank..... that's a very impressive 66MPG.
  13. I have a Bosch branded version of the track. The jointing plates are better than the other manufacturers'. The Mafell saws tend to be better than the Bosch ones (although some appear to be rebranded Mafells?) Tools aren't everything, but makes it so much easier and quicker.
  14. Don't underestimate what you may be able to get away with. Bought my better half a 'track day experience' thing as a Mother's day gift in 2001, a Honda Prelude followed by a Formula Ford. She walked away grinning..... the same woman who, several years earlier, drove my L-plated daily, straight over a kerb island in a car park with 3 kids in the back resulting in her laughing uncontrollably, me left in silent disbelief and the eldest trying to open the door shouting "I'm never going in the car with you again". She bought an Impreza WRX mid 2002. She's a keeper.
  15. Door lock changed on the RRS without grazing knuckles or breaking/losing trim clips. I didn't realise it was possible
  16. Some nice shots in this thread - Volvoshite seems to sit very nicely afainst the backdrop. No photo fro me but I remember feeling properly angry reading the 'commemorative plaque' recording the names and jobs of those who died during the construction of the bridge. Being a builder of the hairy-arsed variety, it really bloody upset me - the whole 'life is cheap' thing. An attitude of "If one falls in, we'll just get another one".
  17. I didn't catch this in the detail I wanted (me2slo) but your eyes do not deceive you. Yes, there is both a recovery vehicle and a Land Rover in the same photo...... but the Defender is towing the Transit - the world's gone mad!
  18. I thought that was a Kardashian thing.
