Anyone looking at these new Voge Rally 300's?
They really look a great buy and for just under the 4g mark. Time will tell how reliable they are. If I didn't have my Himmi I would be tempted.

Did a great loop Saturday evening. Decided I wanted to go for a ride abotu 4:30 in the evening.
Have been wanting to head out to Devils Staircase for a bit to see what it was like.
Rode out from the Midlands towards Rhayader, across to Newbridge on Wye. Then out towards Devils staircase. It's a great single lane up towards there. Then over the top, around Llyn Brianne reservoir which is another great single lane winding road. I knew Strata Florida starts around there so I rode a section of that, but didn't want to do too much as it was getting late and I didn't have a tube with me. Headed up over the hills down into Tregaron, around the back of Elan into Devils Bridge then home via Newtown in the Dark. Ended up getting home about 11:30 but it was an excellent ride and one I look forward to doing again soon. I would recommend it to anyone. Next time I will go early morning and include a ride through Elan Valley as well and out towards Aber.
If anyone wants info on the route just let me know.

That looks great, I did Hunstanton to Gorleston on Sunday, having gone to Hunstanton to see how many bikers were out I just decided to ride instead of hang about - stopping for an ice cream and then a fry up on the way, obviously. I hugged the coast as much as possible and had a rather lovely day. Nothing as awe inspiring as the scenery you saw, but pleasant none the less.

well, the GS went, bantam still here, but it has a new stablemate....

    2022 Honda CRF300L.
took it down to devon to do some lanes. fell off. five times. 🤣

was great fun though. much more capable than the Bantam.  entered the Cotswold clouds at the beginning of september in preparation for the Edinburgh trial at the end of september.

Would be great.  I use mine on a 60 mile round trip commute. Mine is on all types of road except motorways though. Mainly B roads and smaller lanes. I love it. There are plenty durable enough. Nathan Millward reckoned you could push certain service intervals back though without adverse affect such as valves to every 6k for example, but check that before you take my word for it. Need to check my valves in around 200 miles.
They get 85mpg roughly, parts are cheap. Only thing I would consider swapping mine for is a T7 or a CRF300 but they both cost  more and the CRF is a bit more awkward to carry luggage and more of a theft magnet so I wouldn't be rushing to change it to one of those.

I went to Knutsford to do some charity shop shopping… but ended up coming home in a different car to the one I arrived in!
It was time to say goodbye to Bonk the magic wagon. A faithful and wonderful car, which I have genuinely loved owning. I’ve had many many adventures over the last two and a half years. This was a massive bucket list car for me, and one I’m so so glad I had the chance to own… more practical than any car I’ve owned, more individual, and the biggest displacement, however more shite is winking at me… and so it’s time to go to a new owner.

But as I parked it in Knutsford I took a look back. Knowing I wouldn’t be going home in it…

I returned from a fruitless charity shop haul, to find this parked alongside the Pontiac…

    Aha! The Highlander…
A deal had been struck to swap Richard K’s highlander with my TransSport… values were equivalent, and I do love a Volvo! This is not my first 940…

    Handsome bastard.
A drive home and the following conclusions… Volvo cloth seats better than Volvo leather. Early 940 is more like a 740… and I like that. 2.0 NA is positively glacial compared to 2.3 turbo…  but that’s fine, I’m no boy racer.

Two 90s Swedes at home on the drive. Home safe and sound with the PC resolutely at zero, but a nice coffee and chat with @RichardKwas worth the drive in itself, the Volvo an added bonus!
I’n going to miss the Pontiac… but it’s gone to the right home.
