Would my little SV650 class as shite? I didn't know what to buy, I was drawn in by the low insurance cost for a new rider, the V twin sound and I love how it looks, it rides nice as well.

The manual R170 I got from here was a great car. Blasted to the ring and back with ease.
Gearbox was great, MPG was over 40 on the motorway, was comfortable, pretty quick. My Mrs didn't want to get rid of it but we couldn't have a two seater as one of the main cars. My boys still calls them robot cars when he sees them as he thought that was what the roof was like.
Tbh the only thing that started playing up with mine was the roof and that did end up annoying me a bit in the end. I would have liked to have seen them with an option of a manual cloth roof. Would have kept the weight down a bit as well.

I know they're crap, but a (metallic blue) 250 US Custom was the first ever bike I had a pillion ride on and started a 43 year love affair with 2 wheelers.
I did buy one circa 1985, but because I was used to 2 strokes I rode it like a KH250 everywhere and surprisingly* fucked it up quite a bit. 
 
Anyhow, one is a 400 and the other a 250, both have stood a long time.
