  1. Exactly the same as my dad's that. Very short run that had the rack on the tank.
  2. Brentacre? You could always change a couple of things and try it on a modified policy as well?
  3. How much you going to be asking for the GT185? Regards to what people have said about the 'reverse' shift/brake. When I used the Bantam I wasn't too bad from the word go but it was constantly on my mind. I would make the odd error if I wanted to dab the back break quickly. My dad though can't undo the years of riding Japanese bikes and struggles way more ha.
  4. Anyone looking at these new Voge Rally 300's? They really look a great buy and for just under the 4g mark. Time will tell how reliable they are. If I didn't have my Himmi I would be tempted.
  5. Did a great loop Saturday evening. Decided I wanted to go for a ride abotu 4:30 in the evening. Have been wanting to head out to Devils Staircase for a bit to see what it was like. Rode out from the Midlands towards Rhayader, across to Newbridge on Wye. Then out towards Devils staircase. It's a great single lane up towards there. Then over the top, around Llyn Brianne reservoir which is another great single lane winding road. I knew Strata Florida starts around there so I rode a section of that, but didn't want to do too much as it was getting late and I didn't have a tube with me. Headed up over the hills down into Tregaron, around the back of Elan into Devils Bridge then home via Newtown in the Dark. Ended up getting home about 11:30 but it was an excellent ride and one I look forward to doing again soon. I would recommend it to anyone. Next time I will go early morning and include a ride through Elan Valley as well and out towards Aber. If anyone wants info on the route just let me know.
  6. Had a look at this the weekend its 3000miles/5000km just in case there is any confusion.
  7. Don't know if you are buying new or used but 3g would get you a good condition low mileage bike. Prices will probably drop again when the 450 gets here but who knows? Mine was less than that and it had 1300miles and the metals panniers fitted. One local to me sold recently with 300miles for £3000.
  8. Would be great. I use mine on a 60 mile round trip commute. Mine is on all types of road except motorways though. Mainly B roads and smaller lanes. I love it. There are plenty durable enough. Nathan Millward reckoned you could push certain service intervals back though without adverse affect such as valves to every 6k for example, but check that before you take my word for it. Need to check my valves in around 200 miles. They get 85mpg roughly, parts are cheap. Only thing I would consider swapping mine for is a T7 or a CRF300 but they both cost more and the CRF is a bit more awkward to carry luggage and more of a theft magnet so I wouldn't be rushing to change it to one of those.
  9. I bet the EGR has just been mapped out of the ECU and blanked rather that the car having a performance remap. I had it done on a connect I had that had EGR issues.
  10. I really want to try Autotesting when I have the K11 taxed and insured. I see there is one Ross but do you normally need to be a member of a club or organisation to parktake?
  11. Getting there now with how I want it.
  12. Two shite purchases in as many weeks.
  13. Saw that on a numberplate about 15 years ago. I wanted a Nova just because I found the quote so amusing.
  14. This thread is making me want a scooter again. I wonder if @Fabergé Greggsstill has that LML?
  15. This couldn't have gone to a better home. Have a look at T4 short shift mod. It's worth doing if you have a spare hour. Also cherry blossom us what you want on the bumpers.
  16. How come you harbor so much hate towards them? I wanted one for ages, did loads of research. I kept seeing all the comments of people online saying how slow they were but these were usually not he owners of bikes, but all the owners of them saying they were fine. Managed to test ride one and straight away I was more than happy how quick it was. Now I don't do a lot of motorway, and I had a few years prior riding a 175 bantam, TS185 and RT360. I have my classic MX bikes as well so I am not dull to the sensation of a quicker bike. It has just never struck me as a bike that was so uselessly slow that it was unusable/not fun.
  17. Its 22Bhp and weighs way less, it should be way faster.
  18. They still overtake it just takes a bit longer. To be honest I am not bothered about overtaking every car I encounter on the road anyway so it's not an issue. Also so many wankers on my route on bikes overtaking last minute I see it as a good thing as it removes some temptation. With added power comes reduced efficiency so I am not complaining with regards to that.
