I saw the Commodore at EAMA a couple of weeks ago (and last year when they had it in as well), love it. Hope you don't mind me asking but did your mate buy it and not like it? Would he consider selling it or is it definitely going through auction again?

My Dad's old senator, he owned it during 2013. Would love to buy it back but that's considerably more than the £500 my Dad paid, plus we discovered it had been used for some burnout action before he got hold of it! I really loved the green velour interior

Love the Astra, sorry to hear that it broke down but good it's nothing major. I was watching that Ital and thought it finished on Thursday at £4500, did the bidding get extended or something? I tried to place a bid within the last couple of minutes but their site went down.
