The road to my house is closed for emergency electrical works, so I had to park up on the next road along. It seems spring has arrived.

I'll get round to it at some point - Zastava: Starts and runs*

Smashing work. I love that little car. -
You need to take a spinning wire wheel of death to those sill ends before painting them with some good primer and topcoat. Otherwise it'll come back after a season. I also wonder if the cut wires are the brake pad wear leads. If they are, I doubt they're all that necessary. Apart from that,

This is fantastic. The absurdity of it and the fact it works is brilliant. There's 3 videos on this so far and I'm amazed. I'd love to see what a small SU carburettor would do in its place.

Oh boy. I hope so.

Nein mein freund. It's currently not leaking any electrons and it still drives... Sort of.

BX is back at Triple A to get the CV boot sorted. It's a bit messy Unfortunately, this particular car uses AX driveshafts which require dismantling the driveshaft to then replace the problem boot, so a stretchy boot it is. According to them PSA used 3 different types without much warning and more or less at the same time, so I had a 1 in 3 chance of getting the right part.
-
Well yes, I managed to fine one from EuroCrapParts for £16.00.
-
Just managed to get a new tyre ordered. Now I've somehow got to figure out which CV boot my car uses, because, naturally, there's multiple to choose from.
-
Heh, quite so. Luckily there's still a stock of them which is nice.

Cheers mate, I don't know how I didn't see it because the crashing noise when I hit it was immense. I was worried I'd have ruptured the strut sphere as well! Sadly, and while I think the sidewalls helped prevent any further damage, the sidewall has a gash that leaks air. I've also torn the CV boot which is another pisser, but hopefully that can get fixed on Friday. It's a good job the Micra is still roadworthy.

I hit a pothole and it broke the bead by the looks of things. I'm about to go outside and attempt to reinflate it. In the meantime, an unused, original and probably >30 year old Michelin tyre managed to get me home.

Support barge has arrived Vertically.

At least it looks good while disgraced.

From what I can tell, to be classed as 'modern', the car has to be made from 1997 to present day.
