  1. On the right in a flap iirc. Embarrassing question time... How do I get the trip computer to stop displaying miles travelled and show me miles to empty? Google and the car's user manual both give me no information on how to perform this most simple of tasks, and faffing about with the interior hasn't done it either.
  2. I'm just gonna pay the garage to do it while they're changing the fuel filter. There's a bit of a suspension creak so they can have a look at that as well. It's not the hard drive head unit, it's the single CD (with auto changer in the boot). Have just looked up the BSI reset process, I'll give that a go just to see if it does sort the screen - Cheers! The C6 has been out shopping this evening. It's the perfect car for the weekly shop. Nice low boot lip and it's just big enough for all the bags.
  3. https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63915 You can do it from inside the car if you have a folding rear seat. Which I do not.
  4. Right, it was only £42 so I've booked it in for an aircon regas m8 on Saturday. Let's see if that gets the air any colder (although it'll still blow warmer out of the driver's side, if it's cold elsewhere I'll likely just take that as a win and live with it). It's going to the auto electrician for a look at the radio on Friday as well. C6 forum suggests it's likely the head unit. A replacement would be a hundred off eBay but let's see if the issue can be fixed first. Apparently the ABS sensor is likely a rear one and that's bad because it's way harder to change than if it were a front one. Requires the fuel tank to be dropped. Bah. The better news is the depollution warning could be solved by a simple fuel filter change.
  5. The handbrake does still work. Uhoh. I hope you've got it the wrong way round...
  6. The two most antithetical cars I've ever owned are probably a Ford SportKa (tiny, tinny, chavtastic, a hoot to drive) and my C6 (vast, refined, cultured, a relaxed drive).
  7. I might go for a drive in it later, just for the hell of it. Up the coast. Mmmmm, wafty.
  8. Dear Lord that's a lot of money for a battery. Might be worth spending, though, depending on the age and size of the existing one...
  9. Holy front overhang, Batman. Tell you what though, even in a semi borked state this is a special car. You feel special driving around in it. People look at it.
  10. Booked into a trusted garage for a week on Friday. They can sort the ABS sensor and see what the check engine light is about while it's there. If the aircon is gonna cost ££££££ I'll just have to leave it for now.
  11. Haven't seen a receipt for a condenser... But the fact it blows hotter through the driver's side suggests to me it's a common issue that can be dealt with without the dashboard having to come out. The problem is gonna be finding a garage that can/will attempt it in situ...
  12. The specialist is, uh, 'ow you say.... not a C6 specialist. I've got it booked into a reputable auto electrician on Friday to sort the radio. Will ring around for the Aircon - apparently it can be sorted in situ.
  13. Of the two French collections this weekend I really would not have expected this to be the one that FTP'd while the C6 glided home without a hitch*. *Mostly.
  14. I've put the suspension up and that's got rid of the warning lights. Happy days! The EML has also gone off as expected... Although hard acceleration pinged it back on. Hmmm.
  15. A bit of forum surfing tells me it's likely an ABS sensor in the C6. It's going to a specialist anyway so hopefully it'll be a nice quick fix for him to do.
  16. Well. That's an interesting set of warning lights it's just pinged up all at once. Stability control, ABS and parking brake! You do spoil me, C6. And then the information screen went off. ... Yeah, I'll be ringing the specialist tomorrow right enough.
  17. God damn that's a handsome beast. Is it just me, or is it sitting a bit low..? At the front, at least.
