I strongly admire the owner's refusal to wash this thing and rid it of the various lifeforms growing on it.

The cables are brand new as well. Unless there is wire related nonsense going on. But then surely it would do absolutely nothing at all when connected to the computer - it'll release the cables in service mode but that's all.

You really don't see many of these about the place these days. Great little cars.

Stupid lump of French luxury misery still doesn't have a working handbrake. The new module was fitted to the car, and the car didn't want to talk to it. Even more strangely, it turns out the old module wasn't knackered inside, either. At least the suspension and dodgy ABS sensor have been sorted, but still. I want my handbrake back.

Citroen C6 plus £2k for repairs. Or... a nice Volvo estate. An 850, say, or a V70. Or, ideally, a 940/960.

£2,250.

Cars you didn't know existed until very recently.

There's a metallic blue 406 coupe I see in my gym car park quite a bit. It's absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful condition as well. -
Either that, or he wants his wife to be the bad guy, the mean old lady who said no. Maybe he is having doubts himself but wants the responsibility to sit with her so he can tell himself he would have gone for it otherwise. A similar level of cowardice and abdication of personal responsibility, really. They are in the process of buying a small business, he says, but if that's the case, and if that's the reason you can't have the car... say that.

Why not just have a Morgan Aero 8 and save yourself the guts of a million quid...? -
My prospective C6 buyer has gone quiet again, last I knew he was talking it over with his wife. Hmmmmmm. The C6 naturally rewarded me for this yesterday with its first FTP in my ownership - dead battery. Easily enough sorted... once I remembered the battery on these is in the boot. Really awkward to get the positive lead on, because why wouldn't it be.

Automotive cockroaches for the 20s and 30s.

I feel like I see quite a lot of Saab 9-3s about the place - the 2nd generation ones in saloon, estate and cabrio flavours. Way more than the equivalent age 3 series, A4 or C class. -
The Citroën C6 is basically a Peugeot 407 in a fat suit, with a disappointing ride and laughable tech even for the time it was launched. You should still buy mine, though.

I'm gonna go with a top spec Peugeot 407. Probably with the 3 litre V6. -
Uhoh. What's the plan...?

Rank Taxi Two. The Octavia Returns! Time for a stoat 19/03/24

2009! I'm guessing these were only sold for use as taxis by that point? -
Yep, if it's an AI description I just exit the ad. Says something about the seller IMO.

These are superb at what they do though!

I love an inappropriate trim name and I reckon you should start a proper thread just on those! I always liked Vauxhall using Merit for the utterly merit free povvo versions of their cars in the nineties.

I had a really shite KFC at Ferrybridge services coming back from Coventry the other day, the burger didn't even have lettuce on it and the bun was staler than Motley Crue. I know they're shite at the best of times but this was really something else, especially at over ten English pounds. Chips were alright, though. Why did people buy a Fusion at the time instead of saving a bit of money and just getting a Fiesta? Such a weird car, up there with the Golf Plus as the answer to a question nobody was asking.
