@barefootYour boss' cunning plan is for people to get inside, take out and use the fleet?
Best keep your boss away from your daughters.

It appears that my boss has been reading my posts on here. After a mild fucking reprimand for some of the language I use, it turns out that he thinks naming cars/buses is a great idea. I pointed out that because the fleet are 80% white he couldn't possibly use my system for selecting names. He wasn't bothered in the slightest & has sent out a memo this morning telling folk that instead of referring to them by the last three letters of their number plates, in future we'll be calling them, from left to right; Harmony, Destiny, Symphony, Rhapsody & Melody.

Which could have worked, but co-incidentally that's also the exact same names as my five lovely daughters.

Naming cars remains for utter, fucking twats.

The earlier mk4 mondeo doesn't have the radiator shutter flaps.
    The Mk4.5 does,and of course the mk5.
When they fail on the models that have them the cooling fans run continuously.

Intercooler bolts on with a couple of 10mm bolts. It’s a solid plastic thing but it won’t take a knock off a kerb etc. Sort of runs in a U shape across from the intercooler under the engine to the turbo at the back.

The intercooler plastic hose runs directly under the sump. The flaps are up front behind lower grill

Radiator blinds. If they’re jammed it can cause various problems. Most of the time the blinds are smashed out and the motor just operates nothing so it doesn’t flag a fault up, it only does if it’s snagged or jammed up. If it runs freely it should be fine.
  9. Thanks

Could well be the solenoid - the car was throwing up warnings about boost control when I first bought it (I had in my head that it was the wastegate actuator but could be wrong on that - that was in pre-Forscan days so I could only get a generic code).  It stopped doing it after a while but may have come back now it's being used a lot more regularly.  Solenoid seems to be a more common issue than the vanes sticking.

Really they are only cheat devices for the manufacturers.

I once tried a circumcision of Penis.
I'm being told that was actually a circumnavigation of Penistone, is that not the same...?

I think the Hatchback is not regenerating because it has the eml on a lot, thus preventing regen.
Latest eml was boost control and vane actuator but when I went back to get the codes to write here Forscan decided it can't actually read the codes and so the eml light is on but I can't get the codes or do anything with them.
That's not a bad thing, is it? I take it that it means its probably just going to get spontaneously better?
I tried looking at the live dpf pressure differential on the estate, which is working flawlessly and the cursed hatchback which is trying its best to piss me off and succeeding and the pressure  differential seems to be very similar.
So I'm thinking we may have sticky veins or boost control solenoid starting to let go.

Triple A Garage yard scenery. A tumble-down yet active Citroen specialists in Brede, Sussex.

Includes whole AX rear axle. It makes me wonder how hard it would be to convert a BX into a conventionally-sprung vehicle.

Also includes a Traction Avant project and BX/Xantia bits collection.

I was updating my address on my drivers license once and changed my title to Reverend thinking they'd never do it without paperwork. Surprisingly they did though.
Thinking that if I ever got pulled over, I'd probably best have something to back this up, so I got ordained online somewhere just to possibly cover my arse in case I'd done something illegal. That church was quite clear on circumcisions too, its a worry that there might have been a situation that necessitated that.
A few years later I was at a festival and this couple walk up to me and ask 'Are you a religious person?' 'Oh fuck' thinks me, 'trust the loonies to find me, I'm ripped to the tits, I can't handle a preaching from god club' so I said 'No, not even slightly' but they said 'Would you mind being religious for a few minutes, we'd like to get married', cue me whipping out my driving licence and performing, sadly what was a rather poor ceremony as I was as smashed as the Bishop of Southwark in the back of a Mercedes. However, so were the couple so it probably didn't matter too much.
I hope they were very happy together.

The other thing is it would make an ideal beater car for taking 7yo to school when it's raining. We normally cycle but sometimes it rains and I have* to drive.
It's also a pretty funny car in shiting terms, I reckon

(sorry I can't get rid of this quoted bit for some reason)
Mrs Grogee is making noises about a cheap low insurance car for 15yo to be fettled in readiness for learner driving. Thus learning the ways of the spanner before the ways of the driving instructor.
She has happened across this which (at first glance) looks like ideal territory, and it's being sold by someone we sort of know. Full history apparently, £600. Is there anything we should be wary of? My knowledge of Maruti shite is sketchy.
It needs both bumpers changing but to me that's a fun scrapyard challenge. Or, leave them pre-fucked in readiness for teen abuse.
