  1. 32 here in the highlands of North Wales. Loving it! I managed 3 hrs work this morning then gave up, spent most of the afternoon on a hammock. You could almost play rugby with these petrol cans
  2. Shitefest happened Weather was hot, cars were chodtastic, company was awesome!
  3. That looks like Dinorwig... you must be there. Or do you mean the Citroen?
  4. I had the airbag recall, free tea and biscuits at the local bmw dealer!
  5. That's what our 1.4 Peugeot 207 gets and what my 2l diesel estate gets, so yes not bad at all. Of course moderns shit on these figures but you pay way more in buying the damn things.
  6. I got towbarred! Now i can use the Volvo as a daily and as my work car for my gardening for a little while. Awesome!
  7. I haz tow bar, now the Volvo can be used for work without the worry of damaging the interior or my back by getting tools in and out of the boot/cabin. Winner! So I'll be dailying and working out of this for a little while then.
  8. 12v socket in your car, I dare say
  9. That's lovely! Glad it's still alive and well.
  10. @Sunny Jim when is breakfast on Sunday, as in what time? I have to set off at 9:30 or quarter to 10, so hopefully i can do brekky before then?
  11. Nice Volvo, and that Visa is HOT! Clearly, it melted the plate.
  12. Which is why I'll be in the Volvo 740. Actually it's not, i was always going to bring the 740.
  13. Nonsense, slowness is not a factor; I drove from Bristol to North Wales in limp mode, with all of about 10hp in a Mondeo and still beat the satnav time... 😅😉
  14. If anyone is interested, Cwm Y Glo is pronounced 'Cum uh Glore' and means Coal Valley, or possibly locked valley. Having done zero research in my mind it could be either. Llanberis means St Peris' enclosure and Llyn Padarn means Padarn's lake, Caernarfon means castle on the river. Brynrefail means forge hill. There's an interesting rock on @Sunny Jim's map called Union Rock (Craig yr Undeb), not sure what that's about...
  15. Looks like the best way might be A5 all the way to Bethesda then turn left at A55 services, the roundabout before the A55, to get to the Llanberis- Caernarfon road. Or maybe just sit in the roadworks for the 5 mins rather than going on mad detours. Wherever you go the views will be nice.
  16. FIFY Now you're down with da kidz, literally.
  17. Did someone say Pete's Eats? I'm in If the kids allow.
  18. That's a Citroëntastic adventure but also you gotta love Llyn Tegid. Next time I demand you call in for tea and chips or some such deli 😅
  19. Do any of you speak Kernowek? Just because it's almost the same as Welsh, I'd be interested in swapping words! There is a good pie and pasty shop in Llanrug just a few miles away, if you can't manage to bring enough Cornish or Devonshire pasties I'm sure they'll have you covered.
  20. It looks compatible, but i gave up struggling so it's booked in next week to get it attached and wired in!
